The last time the Packers had the number 52 pick was 2006 and they took Greg Jennings. The last time they had the number 84 pick was 1994 and the took RB LeShon Johnson. Johnson lasted less than 2 years with the Pack. He had 1 decent year with Arizona. 3 round jinx!

Notably, Jermod McCoy of Tennessee, who some consider to be the best cornerback in the 2026 draft class, is falling due to a medical concern. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, McCoy needs “surgery to replace a bone plug” in his knee, viewed as a similar issue that Michigan cornerback Will Johnson faced last offseason. Johnson, who was ranked the 13th overall prospect in the draft in 2025, was ultimately picked 47th overall by the Arizona Cardinals.

One of the Packers’ 30 pre-draft visitors, Arizona State tackle Max Iheanachor, was picked 21st overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Beyond Iheanachor, here are the highest-ranked visitors that Green Bay has brought in this cycle:
      • #46: Christen Miller, iDL, Georgia
      • #55: Lee Hunter, iDL, Texas Tech
      • #47: Chris Brazzell, WR, Tennessee
      • #59: A.J. Haulcy, S, LSU
      • #63; Mike Washington Jr., RB, Arkansas
      • #73: Ted Hurst, WR, Georgia State
      • #77: Romello Height, EDGE, Texas Tech
      • #117: Kaleb Proctor, iDL, Southeastern Louisiana
      • #123: Will Lee III, CB, Texas A&M

A lot of potential defensive player picks coming off the board in Rd 2.

At least the Pack got a CB that's willing to tackle. For me, he's already ahead of Valentine on the depth chart.

              Brandon Cisse to Packers.

              By Lance Zierlein
              NFL Analyst
              Draft Projection
              Round 2

              Overview

Teams will be willing to take a chance on Cisse’s explosive athleticism and upside, but a refinement runway might be needed to smooth some of the rougher edges. He’s scheme-versatile in coverage and is an A-rated run supporter. Work ethic and athletic testing will work in his favor. However, a lack of instincts and break anticipation could cost him in coverage against quality route runners. His press will become a more effective weapon with technical work and his route recognition should improve with more reps. Cisse’s traits and competitiveness are clear selling points, but a lack of on-ball production and coverage consistency create a more volatile floor.

              Strengths
              • Explosive athletic ability.
              • Has length and strength to become more disruptive in press.
              • Sits on short routes and squeezes work space from off-man.
              • Quick dig-and-trigger to the throw from the top of his drop.
              • Imposes size on catch point when he’s tight in coverage.
              • Long speed to stay in-phase with deep routes.
              • Supports the run like a box safety.
              • Beats blockers with quickness and meets runners at or near the line.
              Weaknesses
              • Below-average in route recognition and break matching from off.
              • Struggles to find playmaking positioning with back to the ball.
              • Below-average tracking and adjustments on downfield 50/50 balls.
              • Needs to more consistently read/react to quarterback’s eyes/operation.
              • Ordinary career production on the ball.

Can he beat out Valentine? Not exactly the highest bar to need to clear.

Now they don't have a 4th Rounder. That's usually the money round.

Chris McClellan - DT - Missouri

                          By Lance Zierlein NFL Analyst

                          Draft Projection Rounds 4-5

                          Overview

Two-year starter who is solidly proportional with adequate length. McClellan is not a natural knee-bender, which limits his anchor, and he allows blockers too far into his frame too often. He has flashes where he can dominate a rep, but he will need to improve his take-on technique and hand usage to be more consistent. His first step is average and his pass rush isn’t overly explosive, but McClellan can pry open edges with strong hands. He plows through to collapse pockets once his foot is in the door and projects as a backup nose tackle in an even-front defense.

                          Strengths
                          • Has some of the biggest hands in the draft class.
                          • Controlled the line of scrimmage against Texas A&M.
                          • At his best when he punches and plays quickly off blocks.
                          • Good reactive quickness in tackling his gaps.
                          • Pries open rush edges with combative hands.
                          • Powers through block redirection despite his lack of bend.
                          • Nimble to finish the sack once he’s inside the pocket.
                          Weaknesses
                          • Inconsistent in punching, pressing and controlling the block.
                          • Fails to reset hands and reclaim top positioning when needed.
                          • Lacks knee-bend to anchor down against downhill double-teams.
                          • Allows blockers to sustain and maintain for too long.
                          • Below-average get-off into gaps and as a rusher.
                          • Tall pad level diminishes effectiveness of counters.
