Rumor was that Gutes was trying to trade back into the end of the 3rd. No clue what he was looking for, but I would say the Jarod McCoy slide has gone far enough. Its like Peyton Wilson last year. I get the flags, I get the pick could be a waste. I get that he could have a 5 year career and done with the degenerative knee. He did however do a pro day where he looked up to snuff. If we can move to the top of the 4th without giving up TOO much I'd love to see it. If he flops big deal. If he is ready to play and can give us a few good seasons on a rookie deal where he plays like a solid first rounder its a steal. Years ago Dominique Cromartie slipped because of his knee issue. He had a solid (non tackling) career. Unless this guy 100% can't play due to that knee I don't know how you don't try to get a former top 10 player.

The medical eval for Jermod McCoy must not be good.

When fixing the ACL they did a partial bone graft apparently. It has teams freaked. Given the state of medicine, I think teams over react to this stuff. It may cause a degenerative condition, but Owls are won with cheap rookie deals. He should be a packer by now.

That's what we'll never know. Clearly Guter wanted him specifically and wanted him badly, as he was projected as an end-of-third or beginning-of-fourth round selection.

I'm curious what the fourth round will bring. There are about five players out there whose names have been tossed around as possible Packers (the Arkansas RB, Washington I think is his name, Dani-David Sullivan or whatever his name is, the edge from Penn State, the injury-risk CB from Tennessee, and two others I can't recall offhand). Will Guter try to move up again?
