Packers about 5 picks away. Another CB here a real possibility.

Dani Dennis Sutton - Edge - Penn St.

              Overview

Dennis-Sutton is a base defensive end with toughness. He’s effective against the run, but he has limited pass-rushing upside. His predictable, linear rush lacks the burst and bend to beat tackles to the top of the rush and flatten into the pocket. He uses hand violence and brute force to challenge tackles with weak anchors. He’ll get bounced around because his pad level is too high, but he’s tough to finish and finds his way to the action when it’s near him. Dennis-Sutton is equipped to muddy running lanes but might not make many impact plays. He has average upside as an odd- or even-front end.

              Strengths

Heavy hands jolt tackles and create space to operate in both phases.
              • Uses up-and-over arm action to clear the inside edge.
              • Smooth inside spin opens rush-lane opportunities.
              • Can slide laterally with zone blocks and redirect through them against cutbacks.
              • Displays powerful pull-and-shed technique at the point.
              • Takes on heavy contact but stays in the fight.
              Weaknesses
              • Plodding upfield rush lands down the middle of the tackle.
              • Limited bend to flatten and shrink the pocket.
              • Slow to counter when rush stalls at the top.
              • Plays with elevated pad level throughout the rep.
              • Lacks tackle range and can be wiggled into misses by runners.
              • Needs discipline to cut down roughing penalties.

Packers take Jager Burton - C - Kentucky

                  Overview

Durable fifth-year senior who has made 47 consecutive starts. Burton is built to play center but could offer swing potential at guard. He has adequate play strength and good quickness for a zone-blocking scheme. He gets beaten to first contact by length and will struggle to put up a sustained fight against two-gappers at the point. He can slow a bull rush but needs to do a better job of protecting his edges and operating with consistent posture. Burton’s best fit will be with a zone-heavy running game as a late draft pick or undrafted free agent signee.

                  Strengths
                  • Hits NFL marks for measurables at his position.
                  • Wins the lateral race to his zone landmarks.
                  • Climbs quickly with athletic adjustments in space.
                  • Uses core power and grip strength to secure his blocks.
                  • Alters punch timing and approach, using independent hands.
                  • Adequate anchor drop to slow bull rushers when tested.
                  Weaknesses
                  • Weight gets too far forward as a run blocker.
                  • Pressed and pulled aside by two-gappers.
                  • Gets beaten into the frame more than he wins.
                  • Ducks helmet into contact with pass rushers.
                  • Has troubling redirecting long rushers off his edge.

Packers select Domani Jackson - CB - Alabama

                        Overview

Jackson is a smooth athlete with good size and elite track speed. In totality, the play and production have failed to match the traits dating back to his days at USC (2022-2023), but his 2024 tape gives evaluators the best look at his ceiling. He can disrupt from press but can be a step slow to transition in-phase from man. Tampa 2 and deep-zone coverages suit him best. Scheme won’t matter as much as consistency and confidence for Jackson, though.

                        Strengths

NFL size with shredded frame and real top-end speed.
                        • Quality click-and-close from the top of his drop.
                        • Faces up and searches for the ball in man coverage downfield.
                        • Explosiveness to hammer pass-catchers and jar the ball free.
                        • Has shown a willingness to play through pain.
                        Weaknesses
                        • Inconsistency was a problem throughout college career.
                        • Lacked control and balance in press cut-offs.
                        • Hitch shows up in lateral transitions from press.
                        • Inconsistent to identify and trigger from side shuffle.
                        • Too many finesse attempts as a run-support tackler.
I can't run no more with that lawless crowd

Packers trade their 2 7th round picks to move up to the 35th pick of the 6th round and take Kicker Trey Smack from Florida.

                          Overview

Smack has a strong leg and can deliver beyond 50 yards at a high rate without having to drive balls with a lower trajectory. His repeatable process and consistent placement give him an above-average chance of making it in the league.

                          Strengths
                          • Consistent ball-striker with good lift and placement.
                          • Made 77% (10 of 13) of his kicks from 50+ yards out.
                          • Capable as an emergency punter if needed.
                          • Good size with ability to cover and tackle on kickoffs.
                          Weaknesses
                          • Missed 47-yard kick in overtime loss to Tennessee in 2024.
                          • High percentage of misses were off the right hash.
                          • Missed three field goals in the first game of 2025, including 39- and 40-yard tries.
