Gute will keep him and his contract this year, and when it expires at end of season, move on with Cisse in his place.
As for Jackson, he can run and tackle pretty well, the questions seem to be around technique and health. He should be fine in a quarters based zone system but he'll have to be eased into it and coached up. I'm not sure you want him covering a shifty receiver all the way across the field, but he'll give you effort. For a R6 lottery ticket it's a good pick, he could pan out and if nothing else gives you depth who can be a ST stalwart.
