  • Kentucky Kraft to Traitors for 1st and 3rd?

I just read some shit out there in cyberspace about the New England Traitors offering the Packers 1st and 3rds in ‘27 for the Kentucky. Schefter appears to be the one promoting the notion. Ole Schefter ain’t as sleazy as Russini, but he has E. Wolf’s number, I reckon.

If true, should the Packers accept the deal?

Cue Tex with rant about goddamn media pukes.

If we are to believe Bobble and his ilk - the cap can’t be cooked and the Packers are and will continue to be in a cap hell in the foreseeable future - then it’s gonna be extremely difficult to resign Kraft at market rate.

Wouldn’t trading Kraft for a 1 and a 3 top getting, at best, a comp 3 in ‘28 for losing Kraft to free agency?

Kraft is the heart and soul of the Packers offense. He's Culvers, Kwik Trip and Fleet Farm all rolled into one. He ain't going anywhere.

Don't let Schefter fool you He's as debased and sleazy as any of them. Ask the college woman whose reputation he tried to ruin based on a false report on the interwebs and likely someone's agent. He a pile of sh*t water carrier too.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Also not seeing this anywhere on Schefter's feed but it is on the Facebook of some unknown site "saying" Schefter confirmed it. Seems like bologna.

Just because you consume shit on the internet doesn't mean you have to spew it out in our direction. After the Parson's trade, the Packers are in a win now mode. Trading one of their best players for future picks makes no sense.

I'm never thrilled about compensatory picks as an end goal. At best, you're getting someone who's just inside the top 100 in his draft class. Fortunately now, they can be used in trade deals, but it's so rare that they get a team someone who becomes notable.

No. They'll keep Kraft. They will sign him to an extension, they aren't going to trade him unless they can't sign him and their season is in the dumper.
Yes, R1 and R3 picks would be nice but then you put a very large dent in what MLF likes to do on offense. Look at the TEs that were just (over)drafted -- they are almost all guys who can play inline at the Y. Offenses are going to more 12 and even 13 personnel - especially the Shanny tree teams.

I think Schefter used to allow his sources to edit his stories. However, not every journalist is a puke. Ryan Wood ain’t no puke, I reckon.

I mean, it was some no-name on YouTube who first crowed about Parsons to the Packers.

                      1st and 3rd for Kraft ain’t wise?

Let me remind you that the cap can’t be cooked and the Packers are in a cap hell. Impossible to resign Kraft to a sumptuous contract with all the dead money floating around.

Most journalists aren't. But access merchants are.
