      Sure.

Audio of the 911 calls has been released. Jacobs left the scene before responders got there which would explain why he needed to turn himself in later. There also might be a witness to the assault - one of the callers said the victim was being assaulted.

It is possibly interesting that the alleged victim didn't call but I'd guess she is how responders got access to see the scene (damaged property charges) and she would seem to have been interviewed/photographed (bodily harm charges and intimidation).
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I'm gonna go ahead and say there isn't anything to see here. If there were any evidence, I can't see them dropping charges. Josh is a not a light weight; if he just grabs her, he's leaving bruises. Also, if it's a minor/ mutual argument, the DA might work something else out. And his lawyers are saying they have exculpatory evidence. DA's don't just drop these charges and it's pretty easy to reinterpret all the charges as very minor (putting a hand on a neck can be interpreted as 'strangulation/ suffication') matters. LIS above, prosecutors will load up on exaggerated charges: merely phoning her can draw a charge of threatening victim.

Still, Josh is really stupid for getting involved with this girl (... I've read some of her posts; absolutely not someone I even want to be in the same room with).

Unless I'm misunderstanding, I don't think they're "dropping charges" at this point. They're just not FILING any charges, yet.

Jacobs' problem is even if the felonies are not charged by the DA, he could get a 6 game suspension from the NFL if there was domestic abuse at all. That could cost him millions in addition to hurting the team.

Correct. They just chose not to file while he was in custody. This suggests things aren't completely cut and dried.

The Brown County DA's presser is chock full of qualifying statements.

There is a wide range of possible outcomes here.

Again, I'm in no hurry to jump to conclusions.

New statement from Jacob's lawyers after his release from custody.

I'm biased from my past experiences, but I think it it takes a lot for bystanders to engage.

If a neighbor (assuming the size of Jacobs' house and yard are representative of the subdivision) thinks they can hear an altercation and objects being thrown from their property and it's concerning enough to call 911 on the local team's starting running back, that makes me think more likely than not something violent happened.

EDIT: The 911 audio on the news report was not very helpful.

Dear Josh: A lot of Packerrats, myself included, been clamoring that the Packers need more bad-ass guys, guys that are violent and aggressive. But that's not quite what we meant.

My first thought was that this brings back memories of Ahman Green.

My second thought was that if a player is talented and valuable and well known, the team and to some extent the league will figure out how to let the guy play. He might get a slap on the wrist, but he'll be allowed to play again. If he's a backup, then he's gone, and the league can crow about how concerned they are about domestic violence, etc. Whoever said earlier that if Ray Rice had still had anything left in the tank, he'd have been allowed to play, was spot on. They can't call it the NHL because that's been taken, but it is the National Hypocrisy League.

Finally, this Ash Kash - I watched one video. Made me shudder. And she has an Only Fans page.

                    Whatcha thinking there, Josh?

I looked at her briefly, as well. "Shudder" indeed; not exactly the kind of girl one brings home to Mom. So many red-flags there.

Again, let's see how this unfolds........

What I think is gonna happen: Josh has people - his lawyers would certainly advise him not to do it himself - out there seeing what it will take to buy off this "influencer" bitch to not testify/not cooperate with the cops. That might also apply to the damn nosy neighbors who called it in. Thus, there's a good chance Jacobs doesn't get charged or gets some very low grade charge.

However, it seems like the NFL sometimes takes action even if the legal system doesn't. So I would suspect that the most likely outcome is that he gets a suspension, maybe 3 or 4 games, then comes back ok.

That would hurt the team some, but hopefully not enough to stupidly (IMO) trade for somebody like Kamara or whoever.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

We're all guessing here, Tex, but my guess would be along your lines. He gets a suspension and that's about it.

Marshawn Lloyd - is he even practicing? I know you can bet on everything these days, so I'd bet he doesn't last more than a half-dozen snaps.

Lloyd practiced the first day. Was just running drills the second day. I think they practice today.

As for Jacobs, the minimum NFL suspension for domestic violence is 6 games. So if he hit her at all, I think he'll be out for a while, unless he can convincingly claim she attacked him and he was acting in self defense.
