Josh Jacobs Charged With Domestic Abuse

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that Jacobs has now been interviewed. The victim declined due to privacy concerns. https://x.com/JFowlerESPN/status/2111233042962407557

This makes it more likely that if the video gets held back from public release or it doesn't show more than is known, Jacobs will be OK. I suspect the League will, at a minimum, fine and suspend him for games missed if it becomes public, hence, why both parties are asking the video be withheld. Probably.

It does create a perverse incentive for evidence to be withheld from the public so the perpetrator can continue with work, but that's what the law allows. This is what I suspected. But I'm still a bit concerned that Big Rog finds a way to suspend Jacobs further right on the eve of the playoffs. I'm curious though. Has the NFL CALLED the 6 games a suspension? Did we pay Jacobs (I believe I read we didn't). Its still a big distraction that didn't need to happen. Pack should have cut ties the day after it came out. Hopefully he can come in and help the team get some wins and it will all be worth it.

I believe there has been no suspension. He has been paid. If there is a suspension at some point, he will have to give back the pay of however many games he is suspended.

I'm going with the likelihood that if it was really bad, he would have been charged with a felony. There is also the likelihood that this was going to be his last with the Packers even if this didn't happen.
