Shohei Ohtani is awesome. Scored all 4 goals in Japan’s victory over Tunisia, and then suited up for the Dodgers and hit 3 homers and pitched a no-hitter in a win over the Brewers, and finally, rushed to a hospital to witness the birth of his offspring…all in one day.

I don’t think Coldplay is performing at this futbol events, but I believe Chris Martin, lead vocalist of Coldplay, is producing the acts. I read something about this somewhere.

9 of 11 starters were sat in a nothing game.
Still disappointing we didn’t at least draw, but our starters and Pulisic walk away healthy.
The defense was shaky, but these are back-ups for a reason, and the chemistry wasn’t there with that many changes.

I believe we will be ready to go against Bosnia

No concerns about last night. The defensive lapses were predictable with all the players they had out. Nobody got hurt, and Pulisic looked great. Things are shaping up quite nicely for the U.S. to have a real shot as making the quarterfinals.

              1. Shouldn’t Bajraktarević be the “Appleton” Messi? He grew up in that boring town.

              2. It’s cool that Bajraktarević is playing for the nation of his roots, Bosnia. Imagine Shohei Othani playing for USA instead of Japan.

              3. What’s up with male soccer players wearing bras?

You should see his European man purse. Something you wouldn't see on a hockey player.

I ain’t got a problem with man purses, hombre. In fact, as a poker pro wannabe, I myself carry a cheap man purse to casinos. I like to brush my teeth after each meal, and having a man purse is a convenient way to carry tooth brush/paste.

Speaking of poker, just lost $700 Friday night. Lost a $1K pot flopping a set and getting all the chips in good on the flop against two pairs - villain ended up with a better full house than me. Shortly thereafter, tilted, I flopped two pairs, check-raise-call an all-in 3-bet with two pairs ($800 pot), which could not improve against a set.

Gonna take $2K to the casino today to play PLO, and PLO only. If Mother Luck fucks with me yet again, and variance is even more brutal in PLO, gonna go on a prolonged hibernation.

                  Fuck.

Just think how much money you'd have if you had put all your entry fees into a low fee index fund, and ri got your fix played free online poker it at least low stakes games with friends.

Lost another grand on Saturday. Coulda tripled up in a 2K pot playing PLO, but on the river, the board failed to pair and a third diamond failed to hit, denying me of the top full house or nuts flush.

                      Sigh. Hibernation, I go.

48 teams in the World Cup is too many. Canada vs. South Africa did not feel like an elimination game. But 70,000 paid big money to see it, so it's here to stay.

Felt like an elimination game to me over the TV.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I just felt like the quality wasn't there. In the past, the elimination portion started in the Round of 16. This meant that at least 1 of the teams was usually a top 10 team. Prior to the World Cup, Canada and South Africa were ranked 30th and 60th.

And being a Canadian it sure felt like an elimination game for me.
However with either the Netherlands or Morocco waiting it seems it’s all over. Stepping up in class for sure next Saturday.
