  • Argentina fans deliberately drown out England national anthem with their singing. Got some pushing and shoving early.
I can't run no more with that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up a thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

He's partly to blame, but the players more so in my opinion. I'm sure he didn't tell them to play THAT deep. The thing about soccer is, you can't call a timeout once the tide turns against you.

        • So Spain will try to reinstall the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata while Argentina again declares their independence. Fuck the Spainards from both countries! When do NFL camps open ?

He played six defenders and went to a five person back line in the second half. He crouched down quite a bit. That's just too long to play prevent.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

              Agreed.
Against Mexico it was the same thing. I didn’t watch the game but England got up a goal (had a Red Card so were down a man) and tried to hang on for dear life. Meanwhile Mexico hit a crossbar and a post to tie it.

Look at Spain vs. France, they got up a goal then controlled the game and even went out and got another goal.
Playing “not to lose” is a terrible mindset playing a game.
Mike McCarthy use to get up by a score or 2 in countless games and pray his Packers would hang on.
Ya gotta go out with the mentality that you want to win it.

And all his subs were defensive until suddenly he was down 1 late.
