6 foot 6 inch Anthony Campbell, who has multiple batted passes to his credit early in camp. If the roster was 54 players, he'd be a lock for ST kick defense.

He's gotten some run with the number ones, though remember Hargraves isn't practicing yet and has not shown much pass rush. Yet.

But he has done fine versus the run and might be putting StackhouseFord's spot in jeopardy. The article doesn't say it but it they seem to hint he's not playing nose, so if the Packers need a pure nose for depth, Stackhouse or Ford are the fit. But if they are OK with Hargrave and McClellan and a prayer at nose, he could stick. That seems risky and I think our crush might secretly get the famous oblique tightness or trapezius wooziness and wind up incapacitated for the last preseason game and then on the PS.

He was originally signed to the squad in January of this year.

I read that he whipped Burton and Belton in 1 on 1s. That's the pass rush starting to emerge now. The guy definitely has a shot at the roster and maybe even significant snaps. Big men can suddenly take a step over off seasons, so maybe he is truly emerging. Fingers crossed.....if nothing else I'll give him a 3 year deal if the only thing he does is cheap shot Caleb in the melon.

i could be wrong but the 26 year old will be hard pressed to make the final 53.

Problem is, he's not a nose, and to me, nose tackle is the weakest spot on the line right now. I don't think Brinson is really even a nose, or is he? It's just McClellan, Stackhouse, and Ford.

So Campbell plays a position where they're pretty deep already. Can the dude do anything on ST? Block kicks? Protect on the line for kicks?

Blocking passes is how he made his first impression in camp this year. Blocking kicks should be next.

If keeping 6 DT's, I don't know that they'll keep either Ford or Stackhouse as a "true nose tackle" on the 53. Can stash one of those guys on the PS. Most games they can get by with McClellan and Brinson at NT.
