Your 2026 Camp Crush Anthony Campbell

The amazing thing is this guy has one of the worst college resumes I've ever seen for a guy on an NFL roster.

A three-star recruit out of Florida’s Bartow High School, Campbell took a meandering path to the NFL. After a high school career that had him spending time at tight end and defensive end (highlighted by a 79-yard scoop and score fumble recovery), Campbell spent two years at Independence Community College in Kansas before landing at the University of Louisiana Monroe. In two seasons for the Warhawks, Campbell appeared in 17 games, recording 13 total tackles and the lone sack of his college career.


After two years in Louisiana, Campbell transferred to Miami, putting him only about four hours from where he grew up. He’d play a small rotational role for the Hurricanes, appearing in just one game in 2023 and another eight in 2024. Though he’d total just 47 snaps as a senior, 10 came as a nose tackle, perhaps a nod to his bulked-up build; he’d played at 277 pounds at UL-Monroe, but was listed at an even 300 pounds at Miami.

Campbell put up solid numbers in the 2025 pre-draft process, highlighted by a 9-foot, 3-inch broad jump and a decent 40-yard dash time to go with his prodigious frame. Still, pre-draft buzz was understandably hard to come by, and Campbell projected as an undrafted free agent. Dane Brugler rated him as the 115th best defensive lineman (out of 240) in the class in the 2025 edition of The Beast.

Post-draft, Campbell landed with the Seahawks after minicamp tryouts with the Vikings and Eagles and spent the 2025 preseason there, playing 23 snaps across Seattle’s three exhibition games.

Just talked to him and Campbell says he's good! Glad everything is ok after he was down for a bit. Looks like he avoided anything serious!

As I understand it, the big surprise was Jonathan Ford starting at NT. Stackhouse and Campbell are pondering what that means, I imagine. Justis Mosqueda wrote that Jaylin Simpson looked bad in the game playing slot, and Oladapo was also poor in the slot. Apparently Baldwin's injury messed up that dback room - Baldwin could play safety and slot.

Have not read a peep about Marshawn Lloyd, though maybe that's good cuz it means he didn't get hurt. But it sounds like the run blocking was generally awful.

Got another crush for you: EDGE Nyjalik Kelly

His knee injury and the illness the Dentist has were the reasons they signed an EDGE the Vikings just let go.

He's such an interesting case to me, this Kelly kid. What I mean is, what do you do with him if you're Guter and Matty Flower? From everything I've read, he's as raw as a Hustler Beaver Hunt. NOT NFL ready, not even that close. Yet, if you cut him loose, you risk losing him to a team building for the future whose roster is filled with fill-ins at the moment. That team - how many of those are there, four or five? - could afford to carry him on their roster for the year. And if he's got the kind of explosion and strength that he appears to have, well, there aren't many human beings built like that. What to do, what to do! Or is this a case where I overvalue him because he's on the Packers' roster? Maybe every team has a guy like this in camp, and they'll all end up on their teams' practice squads.

I think you can do better than that, PB. Entice him with some of those fine Green Bay women. Promise him all the brats he can eat at training table. Throw in a pair of cross country skis.

They used to say you can never have too many good Corners - which may very well be true, but it's also true that you can't have too many good Edge Rushers. He ought to make an excellent special teams player, justifying keeping him on the 53 even if supposedly he isn't NFL ready as an Edge.

I'd certainly keep somebody like him and drop one of those plugs in the O Line.

Packers guaranteed 247,500 of his 2026 salary. Was that done with an agreement that he would not sign on to anyone else's PS? Of course, nothing you can do if someone claims him off waiver wire.

Well, if the kid can learn to play special teams consistently and show that in training camp, you would choose him over, say, Moseby, though Moseby wasn't going to make the 53 anyway.

Putting a roster together is an interesting exercise.

The case for Issac Neyor? Best season was at 20 yo when he really shined in college. One of the key metrics for success as a Pro is to break out and succeed at an early age. He did that. Then he had an ACL and a another follow up knee surgery that delayed his career and diminished future production.

Even after surgery when he was not leading his team in targets he was a threat downfield.

Its his second year with the Packers so this not new to him. But more than Sturdivant (who has more quickness and excels on ST) Neyor, even as he recovered from surgery was his team's best deep threat. He would be the closest fit to a Watson replacement.

If I am honest, as a second year UDFA, he's got to show out late in games like he did at Pittsburgh (4-34) two more times. Sturdivant might not be the same receiver yet but he would be fantastic on ST.

Neyor really did the job. Sturtevant had bad luck with that head shot, but I think he's right there two. Even after losing a couple of good WRs, we still have an embarrassment of riches at that position.
