Nixon is a slotman at best. If he’s your #1 corner - or even #2 - you’re fucked.

I typed that wrong. I meant Cisse/Nixon, which is what I voted for.

I voted OBVIOUSLY for the "should" - Cisse and St. Juste. I'm not quite so confident that those two "will" start.

I hate that Keisan Nixon is even still around. I've always kinda liked Valentine as a cover guy, but he seems like a liability against the run. The other rookie - who I was pulling for - didn't even make the poll.

I think it's pretty clear Valentine can cover but he couldn't tackle a second grade math problem. St. Juste played well but in limited snaps last year. I think he's more of a guy you put on as an extra back, and with his size and physicality he could make a tackle, at least. I did like that Valentine, unlike the other corners last year, seemed to understand that when Parsons was on the field you, as a corner, could and should play up tight and close, because opposing QB's were going to have to get the ball out of their hands quick.

Having said that, I am hoping Cisse is the real deal and can take a starting spot somewhere during the season, and not just because someone in front of him got injured.

I hadn't seen his business decision until a replay this morning. Honestly if the guy believes he doesn't have to put forth any effort anymore I wouldn't be shocked to see him cut or traded. That's my hot take, keyshawn Nixon doesn't even make the final 53.

This is the last year of his contract. He's got game bonuses, which we'd save, along with $4.xxM salary if we let him go prior to opening kickoff. There's not a capocalyptic disaster if he doesn't see Week 1.
