I don't assume MLF's comment means all that. He doesn't like to talk about player injuries ("He's limited.") and leaves it up to the players as to how open to the public they want to be about their health. For instance, basically everything we know about Parsons' situation is based on what Parsons has said to reporters.

Came across this one this morning. Apparently I'm not the only one who feels that my coach is a fucking pussy. That said apparently Monk, Belton and Burton haven't been around long enough to have read the memo that we let other teams treat us like bitches. Good on them. Make the OL Morgan, Burton, Monk, Belton, ZBB. Maybe that alignment would have enough backbone to protect our QB and send a message.

Agree with you on this one. If it was team approved and sanctioned he would have answered it. Sounds like they are not happy that he took himself out of action. Could he be a cap casualty if they decide they can field a similar 5 without him (or if they think they will HAVE to field 5 without him).

Looks like the RG position might be Monk's or Burton's. Then I just saw someone post that Banks and Burton might be battling for the LG spot.

I think Joe could be correct still if they have decided for some reason (doesn't have to be a solid, logical one) to keep this under wraps for some purpose. Maybe Gute or LaFleur are getting Belichickian feelings about public comments on internal matters. They have locked down video even more at practice, for instance.

But if that were the case LaFleur would be on board with it presumably and wouldn't just walk to the podium and lay out a welcome mat for reporters to question his LG a very specific thing, a topic the team tends to hold close.

But who can tell for certain?

Belton has had some poor results in pass rush one on ones in camp and that was his weakness at guard even if he was big and wide enough to offer stiff resistance when out of position last year.

I think its fair to say the coaches aren't happy with his performance. The time at RT isn't his best chance to start but RT might be his best position.

As for Monk they have been in love with him since last year especially after the Minnesota game to close out the year. But that doesn't mean he has won anything yet.

PFF, SI.com (Huber) agree that of the interior players, Donovan Jennings looked best. Certainly at pass protection.

Was hoping to see John Williams grade out higher to have 2 full backup tackle slots under the lesser concern category.

Don't look now but as someone else pointed out, Brant Banks might have been the only competent player in the fourth quarter. And he's a tackle.

Those "grades" sure seem deceiving and counter to what could be observed on the field in a lot of cases.
