Banks with good down block to just move the pile enough to tie people up for Nixon to run to the two. Nixon TD 2 plays later.
Been a while since I liked the Packers depth like I do in this game.
Arden Walker with a near sack. Should have been a sack. Kelly with pressure resulting in qb losing ball.

#Packers rookie Brandon Cisse limped off following kickoff return, and he's not joining defense on the field. Benjamin St-Juste takes his place. After trying to shake it off, Cisse just went into the blue medical tent on sideline.

Brandon Cisse stepped out of the blue medical tent awhile ago. He immediately did his backdrop. Made some cuts on the sideline. He's moving on his own, which is a good sign. Smack not only was perfect - as expected - on FGs, but he dropped his kickoffs in the perfect spot right on the one yard line.
There seemed to be a lot more spirit and hustle from the backups tonight. Denver kinda seemed like the Packers were last week. I'm thinking last week we just ran into a fired up team - McCarthy's guys balling out against the Packers. This week was more like a normal preseason game- a bunch of guys playing for their football future.
I say again, I'd rather McCord be the #2 than Taylor. I'd also MUCH rather see Strong make the team as #3 RB than Brooks. Talent over the learned behavior of pass blocking that supposedly favors Brooks.What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?Comment

Cisse with knee injury. Early comments from him make it seem not too serious but there have not been any tests yet.
Warren Brinson was a late non-participant. He wasn't on the pre-game injury list. Something might have happened in warm ups. He didn't miss any practices.
Sturdivant got banged in the head on a play I think maybe it should have been called? But this could be a convenient way to stash him on an injury list if they wanted. What I am reading is that the first team Defense had zero pass rush against Denver's first team O line. LVN had a one on one against a TE and got stymied. It don't bode well for early in the season. Good thing the secondary is getting healthy.
Its gonna look a lot like Hafley's pressure packages at the end of last season. They will need to hold on.
