You know, Bobble, you make a good point about the safety room: it's a really good one. We had a weak back end for years and years (there's a sexual joke in there somewhere) and cycled through a lot of Darnell Savages over the years, but this is a damn good safety group.
And maybe Franklin can't cover either, but he doesn't seem like he'll be a drop off from Quay Walker, who was more athletic but less intuitive.
I was really down on Jenkins at center and Rasheed Walker at left tackle last year, so for me, just because those two guys are gone, the team has upgraded at those two positions, even if only by a little bit. IF the line can stay healthy - and yes that's a big if - this offensive line will outperform last year's.
The year that Jordan Morgan and Jacob Monk were drafted, I listened to a podcast by Mike Wahle. He liked Morgan pretty well, but thought he needed development with his hand placement and footwork. But Wahle just gushed over Monk. Thought he'd be a quality starter. So - I guess we'll finally find out.
