Probably should have waited for tomorrow, but we need to get this thing rolling. Monk likely starting at RG. I'm a fan. He played some right side guard and tackle in college. I liked the pick but wondered what the heck happened when he was buried on the depth chart for so long. Hopefully he can hang because we need that OL to gel and play well. ZBB seems confident he'll play. Hopefully the rust shakes fast. I actually like the youth on the OL right now (monk, Belton, Morgan, Burton, Williams). They need experience and time together. I am not convinced Rhyan deserved a contract but I guess Gutes had doubts and the contract could be one and done easy enough. Still think there will be shakeup before the season is over. Morgan, Burton, Rhyan, Monk, ZBB might be the best OL this season. I'm disappointed in Belton. Doesn't seem he utilized the offseason to improve.

I am OK with Monk elevating and working his way to starting job, only concern is that when he got negative reviews it was for pass blocking. Need that tightened up this year. Morgan looks like what we thought he could be at LT. Just need middle of line solidified.

The good news is that except for Brinson, Packers are healthy. Yes, means Bullard and others are back at practice.

In #Packers final practice before Week 1, everyone on their 53 except Warren Brinson (calf) is practicing.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Shocking to me. Are the thoughts on our D that bad? I would bet my house on the Packers with that line if I ever bet on games involving the Packers.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

I am so effin' excited to be posting on Rats again!!

My guess on Brinson is that he'll be inactive for the game. Play it safe, and get a chance to give Campbell a few snaps and see how he does when the bullets are flying.

There is so much negativity surrounding Monk - wow. Everyone's dubious. He's a third-year guy but somehow still nearly an unknown. Still, can he be much worse than Belton was in pass pro?

Question: do you all really believe the offense (ie, The Flower) is going back to the outside zone running scheme?

General perception that I've read this last couple weeks is that the defense isn't going to be any great shakes, at least not til Parsons is back. So the thinking seems to be without Parsons and Jacobs, the Packers are going to have to turn Love loose and hope the offense can rack up points. My fear there is that the pass protection might not be up to the task. Especially is Zach Bako-Bewele and Banks cannot play a full game. This makes me wonder if Chris Brooks is going to get a whole lot more snaps than people think.

Oh, and what do you all think the signing of Harrison Smith does to the game on Sunday? How much impact will he have?

            My biggest concerns:

Oline - Flores tends to throw a lot at your offense. Can we deal with all the looks?
Is our line even healthy enough to trot out our best 5?

Secondary - New look gives me hope, however the Vikings have a talented receiver group.

Pass rush - Obviously less without Parsons, but are the new pieces, scheme, and development enough to get after Murray?

MLF - I need you to have your “A” game in calling plays and making adjustments. No more running Jacobs (now his replacements) into the line every 1st down. Show me some ingenuity.
