  • Good News! Packers Had Vet O Line Assistant in Camp

Harry Hiestand spent camp in a consultant like role but also took on some coaching duties during camp practices for the O line.

The only possibly downside here is that this gives the Packers four voices that could be talking from experience to the O line: Stenavich, Butkus, Eddie Gordon (asst line coach) and Hiestand.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Clearly Anthony Belton's head is spinning.

I don't know what to make of the offensive line coaching. Rasheed Walker didn't really progress much and in fact seemed to regress. Elgton Jenkins never played well at center. Belton got the rug pulled out from under him in the middle of the season and switched positions, and now has switched again. I don't know about how the coaching staff is handling this offensive line.

Guardedly, I think they saw less swapping around this year. The inside guys were inside and the outside guys were outside. Exception for Belton who did get moved to tackle exclusively by mid camp.

      Hoping it gets better.

If they needed another assistant, the others should be fired. What they really need is more talent, and better health.
