  • Smack's reason for missing the kicks.....himself,

I think the kid will bounce back quickly. No excuses from him.

    From JSO:

(re: the wind) “It’s unpredictable,” Smack said. “It just swirls. One end zone is fine. The other [north] end zone, it swirls a little bit more, which, if I just hit my ball, it should cut right through.”

That’s where Smack preferred to take the conversation on his three missed kicks. If he just hits his ball, everything is fine.

More than wind, Smack said, his ball striking was the reason he left 7 points off the board in what ultimately became a 31-7 win for the Packers.

“I just think honestly I didn’t hit the ball well,” Smack said, “and that was basically it. You’re going to have some of those games. Like, I was going to miss those three kicks even if the wind wasn’t a factor. That’s just my ball striking wasn’t on point.

Nice to see. The wind did affect it. No wind at least one of those goes through, but making excuses is for pussies. Kid showed some heart. Hope he kicks a couple long ones sunday.

If your ball striking is off when you're trying to land one in a fight, things do tend to go badly.

I hope his ball striking improves.
