We seem to be losing a lot of ex-packers recently. Dave Puriefory is the latest.

I always liked Dave Pureifory. The big guy was an athlete.

Yes, he did kick. As the article indicated Pureifory kicked when Marcol was hurt, but I seem to remember the Packers using him on kickoffs even after Marcol was again kicking FGs and PATs. Pureifory wasn't bad on kickoffs as I recall. I think part of it was to protect Marcol who had leg problems anyway and was targeted by teams (like the Bears) who would send multiple guys after him on kickoffs.
