Packers are signing free agent QB Cam Miller to the practice squad, per source.
I can't run no more with that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up a thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen
I had high hopes for Lloyd and thought maybe after a couple of games he'd sort it out, but his vision as a RB is bad.
rcon's article at acmepacking is pretty good and if you watch any of Mike Wahle's videos on youtube they are pretty frustrating - for him and the viewer - because you can see there are fundamental things not happening. It's flat out poor execution most of the time, not necessarily scheme. The problem is less the RBs than the OL, although Jacobs is clearly better than Johnson or Lloyd.
re: Banks, he played like he was rusty. I'm hoping that more practice and playing time resolves that, but if not IDK what they will do. I don't trust Stenokus to actually start the "best 5" at the proper positions.
on that note, I was out on Butkus 2 seasons ago, I was thinking Steno was worth keeping for the OL coaching. Now I think they both need to go. The way Steno talks to the media plus the fact that he got shitty NLFPA survey score and he's gone thru 2 full interview cycles and not gotten a sniff of interest as a serious HC candidate tells me all I need to know about him. The final nail is seeing what bringing in a DC like Hafley or Gannon has done for the player development there vs. on offense. Guys like Bullard and even the rookies are showing growth while the offense looks like JV dogshit.
That last paragraph is Word.
Absolutely on the nose. And well-written.

The Baltimore Ravens are signing quarterback Kedon Slovis to their 53-man roster off the Green Bay Packers' practice squad, sources told Tom Pelissero of The Ringer.
I believe in God, family, Baylor University, and the Green Bay Packers.

Packers sign QB Cam Miller to PS. That was yesterday so it seems like the Packers had early notice they were losing Slovis.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

It took me a hot minute to identify Steno as the real problem. I just think the guy is an ass. He reminds me of every stupid coach I ever played for that couldn't recognize what was happening every day in practice and still kept putting his favorite people on the field instead of his best players. The fact that Zeitler isn't playing absolutely mystifies me. Burton probably should be playing center over Williams who has less than 100 lifetime live snaps at center I'm pretty sure. I'm not at practice and a lot of our OL I haven't even had a chance to see play so its hard for me to be specific, but I think we can all agree that whatever the fuck he is doing isn't working for the most part. Morgan is only playing LT because we let a crappier LT walk. I blamed Gutes, but maybe it really is on the coaching staff.

Gute assumes some blame for thinking his guys in camp were going to be good enough. To his credit, after the ATL fiasco he went out and brought some adults into the OL daycare. He also gets some blame for the terrible Banks signing.
MLF get blame for hanging onto his guys - Steno and especially Butkus. Those two get a LOT of blame for not being able to develop and coach up these players. They also get a lot of blame for all the shuffling around and poor strategy going back years (e.g., moving Billy Turner from one side of the OL to the other for a playoff game, the Jake Hanson and Royce Newman experiences, etc.). I don't think the run concepts are different from what other teams (or their college teams) would do.
The players get plenty of blame for flat out poor execution. Bad footwork, hand placement, missed assignments. The coaches have to teach it, but they have to learn and go out and do it.
All that ranting aside, how crazy was the WWE return of Christian Watson? You know that rib got the Toredol treatment, I don't know how else you could run sprints and take hits with a broken rib.
