What's with the girly L on that logo? Oh, and my cat made the same pose a couple minutes ago. Made the dog blink when he jumped on her face. Fierce.
You all do see how the L is made to look like the hind legs of the lion, right - or is that just really obvious and I'm a dumbass? Either way - I don't give a crap what the Kitties have on their helmut.

Any good logo will highlight the relationship between the team and the city:

              Some more from that story:

              Remedial Lions

              Afro Lions

              Pizza Lions

              WTF Lions

              Yeti Lions

I could actually see something like this being a wrap-around on helmets. Going gangsta style.

Those logos were interesting. I hope they don't go the route the Tigers did a few years back, and change the thing into some stupid, cartoony thing. They ruined a fine tradition when they did that.

As for the Lions, and those fan entries, you can definitely see the influence of anime in some of those designs.

And about feeling sorry for Lions' fans...not me. When they were "good" (in Detroit terms) back in the early 90's (they got within a game of the NFC championship game), they were rude and insufferable. As you all remember, the Packers had sucked azz also for many, many years (except for the one Lynn Dickey playoff year where the got blitz3ed by the Cowboys, 85-78), and Lions' fans all over let me know - plenty - that the Packers SUCKED. It wasn't enough that they finally had a decent team - they had to pile on eveyone else.

So I have absolutely no sympathy for those fans. At all.

Nothing in so juicy and sweet as seething, lingering, long-term fan hatred. Well done!

                            This was a logo contest.

And the winner, winner, no chicken dinner, was.....

                            Lonnie Walker of Prospect, Ky.

Awwwright, I feel some Wisconsin transplant to Kentucky pride!

                            Sort of.

I agree with Fritz. Lion fans are some front runnin' sumbitches who need to stay in the back where they belong.
