Most people have Johnson as a 2nd round pick. One of those guys whose production doesn't match his talent. I suspect he'd be a major reach at #9. http://www.draftcountdown.com/scouti...el-Johnson.php

Georgia Tech defensive end Michael Johnson, a potential first-round draft pick, has set up private workouts/visits with the Atlanta Falcons, Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to a league source.Johnson is scheduled to visit the Buccaneers on April 2, the Redskins on April 4, the Browns on April 8 and the Falcons on Monday.

At 6-foot-6, 266 pounds, Johnson is a tall, lanky pass rusher who registered nine sacks and 17 1/2 tackles for losses last season and was named All-Atlantic Coast Conference. He was a finalist for the Bednarik and Hendricks awards.

According to a league source, the Green Bay Packers are high on Johnson.
The Cincinnati Bengals were well-represented at Johnson’s Pro Day.

Maybe Mission has a line on this guy.

He's a ninth pick in the draft?
      NO

you've seriously never heard of him?

before the season started he was being called a top 10 pick. the problem was at that point he had never started or done much. the college season played itself out and he still didn't do much

the guy looks like a freak athlete, and he's all the things you could dream of in a 4-3 de. the only problem is he's never really been productive

he's very intriguing because of his size and the way he looks, but it seems likes its all show and no go.

last I heard he might be there in the second when we pick
No, Red, I haven't heard boo about the guy, but I'm a bad example. I follow college ball about 90% less than I used to. I get most of my draft info from PackerRats and then check 'em out on YouTube, etc.

You, Nutz, B, and most of the other usual suspects are where I hear about these kids.

I thought this article was saying he was our # 1 pick. A 2 sounds about right. He seems like a 4-3 dude. He seems a little big for a SOLB and too small for a 3-4 DE. We got enuff of those kind of guys.

Most of my friends are Tech grads (they keep me outta trouble) with season tickets and they absolutely hate the guy. Think he's lazy, takes plays off and hasn't done enough in the off season to reach his potential (redundant?). These are the same guys who think Tashard Choice is the greatest RB ever ...

The two games I got to go to he didn't really impress me much... didnt seem like he was bigger, faster, or stronger than anyone else on the field or at least guys he was playing around.

I definitely think a good mid-late round first pick... if we're high on him, it's only in the scenario of trading down. He's not worth the locked money with that kind of unknown.

Top 10? Only because they thought he'd be up around 280 this year, bangin guys around...

He has a reputation for taking plays off, but he has the speed to be a premier pass rusher. Some team looking for a pass rush specialist will risk a 2nd round pick on him.
