  • Packers 2009 Opponents

    Packers' 2009 home opponents

    Chicago Bears (9-7)
    Detroit Lions (0-16)
    Minnesota Vikings (10-6)
    San Francisco 49ers (7-9)
    Seattle Seahawks (4-12)
    Baltimore Ravens (11-5)
    Cincinnati Bengals (4-11-1)
    Dallas Cowboys (9-7)

    Packers' 2009 road opponents

    Chicago Bears (9-7)
    Detroit Lions (0-16)
    Minnesota Vikings (10-6)
    Arizona Cardinals (9-7)
    St. Louis Rams (2-14)
    Cleveland Browns (4-12)
    Pittsburgh Steelers (12-4)
    Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-7)

We lucked out getting the NFC West for the NFC rotation. Our NFC 3rd place opponents were a little bad, the Cowboys and Bucs. At least we get Dallas in GB for a rare Lambeau appearance.

The AFC North are our AFC foes. Two toughies & two cupcakes.

I think we can do it, no?

The Bengals and/or Brown could turn out to be much more than cupcakes.

I don't worry or salivate about the schedule. The teams are so even talent-wise that you don't know from year to year who will be strong and who won't. Packers didn't go 6-10 last year because of a tough schedule. They were 6-10 because their defense didn't get the job done late in games. It didn't matter if they were playing a good team like Tennessee or a poor team like Jacksonville.

And who woulda ever thought before the season that Tennessee would be so good and Jacksonville so bad.

All things considered, I think the Packers came out OK on the schedule, but like you said, you never know.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?
