Some new ones, and some nominations for replacing some already on the list:
#63 - Fuzzy Thurston over Adam Timmerman due to longevity, and Fuzzy's lifetime commitment to the Packers.
#23 - "The Roadrunner" Travis Williams for electrifying KO returns.
#16 - Scott Hunter (why not?)
#40 - Tom Brown deserves consideration
#21 - Bob Jeter over Craig Newsome (I don't think this is even a close call.)
#60 - John Anderson/Leroy Caffey
#89 - Dave Robinson over Mark Chmura (Again, not even close, in my opinion)
Is this list for the best player or the most memorable? We should probably nail down what this list is before deciding.
Most of mine were on ability, except for my specific "memorable" nomination for Frost, and the lifetime award to Fuzzy T over Timmerman, who may have been better for his time. Brown/Eddie Lee Ivory I think is close. In my opinion, Jeter was a much better player than Newsome. and Robinson was much better than Chmura.
Yet another one that I do not think is even a close call.
Old timer.

OK let's go with best player to wear the number. I'm listing everyone suggested for now. Just tell me who to drop (bye Rubley, LeShon Johnson, and Frost)

#69 - Bill Forrester. I remembered Forrester, but not his number, which I had to look up. Forrester was an All-Pro linebacker year after year in the late '50s and early '60s.
OK let's go with best player to wear the number. I'm listing everyone suggested for now. Just tell me who to drop (bye Rubley, LeShon Johnson, and Frost)
42 - John Brockington/Leshon Johnson/Darren Sharper
Tough one. Everybody remembers Brockington because there wasn't much else to cheer on back in those days, but Sharper probably had a better Packers career.
60 - John Anderson/Leroy Caffey
No idea.
68 - Mike Wahle/Gale Gillingham
Gillingham
74 - Henry Jordan/Aaron Kampman
Jordan was a Hall of Famer, so it's hard to vote against him. Some people think he deserved the honor--while others felt he rode on the coat-tails of a great defense.
76 - Chad Clifton/Bob Skoronski
No idea. How many Pro Bowls did Skoronski make?
80 - James Lofton/Donald Driver
Lofton is a Hall of Famer, but Driver may have had a better Packers career. For right now, Lofton. When DD retires, he might edge him out.
82 - Lionel Aldridge/Paul Coffman
Not sure. I liked Coffman a lot.
87 - Willie Davis/Robert Brooks
Davis.
89 - Mark Chmura/Dave Robinson
Robinson.
94 - KGB/Bob Kuberski
KGB.

Couple other things I noticed in looking up player number and Packer Hall of Famers.
Who is Henry Jordan? I don't think I've ever heard him mentioned when talking about the Lombardi defenses.
Who was Henry Jordan??? It makes me sad that he is not better remembered.
Henry Jordan was to DTs what Willie Davis was to DEs in the 1960s.
Part of why he has been forgotten is probably because he died so young. Dropped dead at 42. I believe he was the first of the Lombardi era greats to die. A real shock at the time.
Henry Jordan also had a great sense of humor and was a locker room leader. I had the pleasure of attending a sports banquet with Henry as the featured speaker. The guy was fantastic.
He was one of Lombardi's "steals". Got him from the Browns for a fourth round draft choice, I think the first year Lombardi was in GB. Jordan was a "no body" who then went on to a HOF career.
42 - John Brockington/Leshon Johnson/Darren Sharper

I agree - a tough one. Brockington's candle didn't burn very long. I would have to go with Sharper

I think they were somewhat the same player, but I have to go with Anderson.

Jordan made an awful lot of All-Pro teams during his time, so it is hard to go against him

I think only one, but the feeling at the time was that he was always deserving, but with Gregg a certainty at the other tackle Skoronski was overlooked. I consider Skoronski and Clifton as equals in pass protection, with Skoronski a better run blocker than Clifton, so my pick is Skoronski.

I can't see Driver being considered a better player than Lofton, regardless of how his career ends.

Not sure. I liked Coffman a lot.
I liked Aldridge, and thought he was under-appreciated on those teams; but I would probably have to pick Coffman based on performance. It is hard to compare a DE and a TE.
