Something tells me the Packers are a little more serious about being a tough football team than some people give them credit. Sounds like this guy is a mauler. I look forward to seeing some big time blocks out of our new FB.

WTMJ has been saying all week Spitz is expected to compete with Wells and GB is projecting Sitton as a sure starter
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

    • Edgar Bennett is gonna talk on packers.com soon. Maybe address zone vs. power?
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.

Hope your right. The running game was better under Sherman.
The RB Sherman had, while in his prime, was better too.

          Hey Bretsky - you're up. TT has a $5bill. :P
not only will B be giving him a lap dance, but will throw in a $400 closing cost credit on TT's refi.

Remember all the struggles in short yardage? Now just give the ball to Grant and let him follow this monster of a FB.

            • Have there been rumblings that McCarthy wants to ditch the ZBS?

I thought he really liked it.

                • I'm looking forward to hearing Bennett talk about this guy. Best lead blocker in years is what one scout said.

We need some nasty near the goal line.

                    • I am comfy with a line of Clifton/Colledge/Spits/Sitton/Giacomini, with Lang a developmental guy. Maybe in 2010 Clifton moves to the left, and Lang takes over LG (right after Colledge gets his new LG money contract!)

                      • Vikings take Jasper Brinkley.

                        Not a bad value.

He isn't totally going to ditch it. You are going to see more of what you saw last year, a combination of ZBS and power gap.

                          • Jasper Brinkley to the Vikings.

Damn, he was one of favs this draft.

McCarthy has insisted that he doesn't run all that much zone. A year ago McGinn was grilling him on being a finesse zone team and McCarthy said some thing like, "I don't know what you're watching, but we don't run all that much zone. We're a pro offense with a variety of blocking patterns".

Since Jags left two years ago, they really haven't been all that committed to zone. By their recent drafts (Sitton, Lang), it looks like they're not at all committed to it. They've definitely been evolving away from it.

Then again, I remember Badgers versus FSU where their punter was a straight up hoss and should have been MVP of the game. He was awesome.

                                Is that guy available?

Kevin Huber; ROCKET for a leg. Bengals drafted him a few picks before our last selection
