The whole thing sounds like a Starsky and Hutch show, right down to the 1970 Impala. And as for chasing down the joyrider and getting in a wreck...my thought process would have been more like "It's a 1970 Impala that's been reconditioned to the tune of $35K. How hard is that going to be for the police to find? Are there dozens of cars like that out there?"
Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another.

Good point. In a lot of places you can get a ticket for that - even if your car gets stolen.
Up here you can't even leave your car unattended and unlocked or you'll risk being fined.
For real? Now, you're in New Brunswick, right? Here over the border in Maine (Augusta, anyhow), it's not unusual in the wintertime on cold days to see people leave their engine running when they run quick errands in the drug store or convenience store.

I think it was a Grand Torino.

I was going to make some smart azz remark indicating how sorry Scott Campbell must be to know what kind of car was featured in Starsky & Hutch, when in my head I corrected him - "Hey, it's called a Gran Torino."

Thus my state of sorriness exceeds Scott's

And upon further reflection, how can any man be faulted for watching a show featuring fast cars and hot women? Or were they hot cars and fast women?

            Either way, it's good.
