  • Africa trip an eye-opener for Driver, Kampman

I have a lot of interest in Kenya. One of my best friends is from Nairobi, and I took Swahili as my second language in college. My friend said that I could stay with his family if I go back there. I'm not sure why I haven't taken him up on the offer yet, but that's one of my goals in the next couple of years.

Gotta love environmentalists - they work tirelessly to make sure Africa can't industrialize...

50 million deaths attributed to the ban on DDT, short life spans due to respirtory issues born out of breathing toxic fumes from cooking fires in huts, insufficient power for heating, cooling, medical needs, etc...

Jacques Cousteau would be thrilled - afterall, we need to increase the kill rate of humans to save the planet - all in the name of "green" of course.

Really, it's hard for me to even look at Africa and what western corruption, the UN, and the enviromental movement are doing to those people. It's inhumane and sickening IMO.

        Too inconvenient???

Harvey. Would you go there basically as 'a missionary' or is that too personal a question?

Now get back to your hut kid... get that fire started so ur mom can mush together some chaff/mud patties.

Yes, it's all about photo ops and making nice... can't let em build a power plant though, huh??? That would be enviromentally unwise

I find it all hypocritical and disgusting.

Not if I went with my friend.

You might go there as a missionary if you didn't go there with your friend?

Not exactly. I haven't gone on any missions trips, but I've thought about it. I don't think our church has ever done a missions trip to Kenya. Why do you ask?
