"The game was electric, when he ran through the defenders from Iowa onto gaining his yardage I think my heart stopped. I still get chills as I type this out right now. At the end of the game I had tears in my eyes as a sea of white towels with 33 on them were held up for all to see. I knew right there that I would bleed Cardinal for the rest of my life. Record breaking run, Heisman Trophy and a Rose Bowl berth, what an amazing experience and I got to see it all from the stands."
