Quite true! It's exactly what a self-absorbed diva would say. And yet it screws the Vikings! Hee hee hee!!!Originally posted by GrnBay007But really? No way but Sage is limping after the game, and not practicing Sunday. My guess is he realized Booty isn't ready and if Sage goes down the season ends right there.
I was dead against this after camp started but man Tarvaris looked bad Friday.
I guess I asked myself this today:
Are the Vikings a better team with....
1) Rosenfels
2) Jackson
3) Booty
or
1) Favre
2) Rosenfels
3) Booty
I had to admit #2 makes more sense over the course of the entire season since starting QB's many times do miss time during the season.

Michigan, it makes for a damn interesting year. Some of my Viking fan breathren were extremely fired up but I'm much more reserved. I doubt the dude can last 16 games but as I mentioned, Rosenfels is a good backup and I believe can play.
At the end of the day, I think they are a better team,,,,,so after some thought, I'm ok with it.
edit: To expand on how I feel? Excitied in the sense that games are really going to be interesting.....I got so REALLY good season tickets this year way before the Favre stuff started. 5th row, upper deck on the aisle.....despite the high cost, I can't wait until the season starts to see what might happen.

Makes me uneasy to see him crossing over, but I certainly hope you enjoy the hell out of watching him play!Originally posted by RastakMichigan, it makes for a damn interesting year. Harv, you're so damn quiet. How do you see the two options? Having spoken to you several times I am actually interested in your take. What was the better scenario for the Vikings in your opinion?

I don't know. Pure football it makes the Vikings better, but I think ultimately this move will fail to meet the Super Bowl expectations. And that has to be the expectations. Otherwise, it would make no sense to make this move. This team is built to win now. Then again, maybe he leads them to the Super Bowl."There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. Isn't there both a short term and long term scenario?Originally posted by RastakOriginally posted by RastakOriginally posted by HarveyWallbangersWas TJack going to beat out Sage?Originally posted by RastakChilly watched TJack on film this weekend and said "we're fucked, call Favre".

This may be - "may" being key - a better short term move for the Vikes. We'll see. But I think in the long term it puts stress on the organization. If I understand correctly, it's a two year contract, so your turn to enjoy the Favre annual off-season anguish and the uncertainty in which he puts the team. I mean, if he says he's retiring, how many people will believe him? And if he says he's coming back, will the team want him back? On top of that, there's the price - is it two years at 12 mill per? Surely that affects the team's ability to sign other players, either free agents or extensions.
You can have him. I think in the short term he'll provide thrills and hope and maybe lots of excitement and possibly a good first-half record.
Maybe."The Devine era is actually worse than you remember if you go back and look at it."

Enjoy the seats. The Vikings said that they sold 2000 more season tickets and 6000 individual tickets with the news of the Favre signing. Any estimate of how much cash that brings in (assuming average to low end seats being sold as real fans already have the good ones)?Originally posted by Rastakedit: To expand on how I feel? As for Favre making the team better, on a talent basis alone I would agree, but the intangibles of making Chilly look weak and desperate may wind up hurting the team over the course of the season even more that Jackson at the helm.2025 Ratpickers champion.
