He doesn't look maxed out, as I already said in two posts up. We'll see once the regular season starts. No reason to get fired up over nothing.
    So you were wrong, yes?

It would appear that way, but we'll see what happens. It's still just ps.

He's been +2800 for the past two weeks. I don't think the number has moved since it came out. Which is a little surprising.

The over-under number for regular season wins has moved. The Packers had been 8.5 since the number first came out. After last weeks game it moved to 9.

A bet on Rodgers for MVP is probably throwing money away, but I do like those odds, especially compared to the guys you ranked earlier. Might be worth a 50 spot or so.

Look at it this way - IF GB were to win the SB, there is an excellent chance Rodgers would be league MVP. If they don't, he probably won't be MVP. The payout on Rodgers for MVP is much better than the payout for GB to win the SB, so the Rodgers bet makes more sense. Grant would need to become the second coming of Walter Payton to beat Rodgers for MVP, and that is the longshot of all longshots. Or some other player would need to have a monster year.

If I was a betting man, I would strongly consider that bet.

            Ok, did a little research.

A site called bankrollsports.com has the Pack at 20-1 to win the SB. Rodgers is at 280-1 to win MVP. If GB were to win the SB, very good chance Rodgers is MVP. Would definitely bet on Rodgers for MVP over GB to win the SB.

The MVP is given after the conclusion of the regular season, I believe

If the Packers were to win their division and Rodgers put up numbers a little better than last year, I'm betting he'd have a lot of sympathetic voters on his side--considering the Favre stuff that's been hanging over his head.

The way the offense looks there is a very good chance of it. If they are the class of the NFC than there is an extremely good chance unless Brady or Manning goes off nasty sick.

Definitely worth putting a twimper down. That's 5600 bucks to win if it happens. I think those odds are extremely favorable given that you know he's got the talent around him to put up the big numbers, and the RB isn't good enough on the team to warrant consideration.

13-3 and he is top 3 vote getters easily imo.

MVP? Are you kidding me. All this talk is ridiculous.

If Arod doesn't have 3 or 4 wrapped up by midseason i'll be shocked.

I dunno whether or not he'll be league MVP, but the way he has handled himself in the press and on the field of play these last 2 years has been exemplary.

The Favre thing, taking on the fans head on in a very humble yet confident manner, winning over the players (he had already won over the organization), well, that goes a long way to award winning player in my book.

I loved the pick when it was made, I've always been on the band wagon and that's cause I'm a homer in the first degree. But NOBODY could legitimately find too much about this kid to criticize these last couple of years.

Sheesh, I read somewhere he takes personal blame for the Packers only winning 6 last season. SHEESH!!

Can't remember for sure. Don't they announce the MVP prior to the SB?

Certainly capable given all the offensive playmakers and MM's play calling.

I'd be willing to bet the odds on Rogers MVP will change over the next couple of days as the Packers are starting to get too much media esteem.

Adam Schein at Fox, for example, has predicted Rogers at MVP too:
MVP — Aaron Rodgers, Packers QB

I wish he wasn't tearing it up in the preseason, basically having a perfect August. I was hoping Rodgers would fly under the radar so I could shock the world.

Brett Favre, eat your heart out.

                            It's Aaron Rodgers time.

When you go back and think of everything Rodgers went through last year, 2008 was truly impressive, dealing with the Favre hangover drama and a porous defense. And yet through it all, Rodgers passed for 4,038 yards and 28 touchdowns, and completed 64 percent of his passes.

I think the touchdowns and completion percentage will only go up. Rodgers will get balance with a bounce-back year from Ryan Grant. And he has the deepest 1 through 5 group at wide receiver in the league, highlighted by the explosive Greg Jennings and the consistent Donald Driver. Plus, Jermichael Finley adds some potential sizzle at tight end.

Rodgers went through ups and downs at the end of ball games and I firmly believe he is ready to even out his play down the stretch of contests. And it will be his play late in games that will help him become MVP.

Rodgers proved himself as the true leader of the Pack last year and into this offseason, where his dedication to the program got rave reviews and will prove to be a spring board to greatness in 2009. Rodgers and head coach Mike McCarthy are on the same page and the quarterback serves as an extension of the coach on the field.

I really think Aaron Rodgers blossoms into an elite player in 2009, guiding the Packers deep into the postseason and he will define the word value.

Look for fellow QBs Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Philip Rivers and a wild card named Tony Romo to also be in the hunt. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/1...rd-predictions

Aaron Rodgers rated #4 on the QB power rankings, and these aren't even fantasy rankings.

Packers are ranked 12th--behind Minnesota and above Chicago.

As everyone knows, I wasn't nearly as sold on Rodgers as others. I was ready to move on, but that was more about the other guy than the guy replacing him.

I'll admit, I did not see this coming at all. The way Rodgers has played this preseason is better than any QB play I remember as a Packer fan and I've seen some decent QB play the last few years.

Just because I wasn't on the wagon first, doesn't mean I won't get on now. I think Rodgers is a great player and has a great chance at winning MVP.
