Throwing a 13 yard play action pass with the defense ALL OVER your slants isnt exactly like teaching the guy calc. It's preseason.

Sadly, sometimes you have to. The teachers upstream from you send you kids that don't have a clue, and you have to try to teach them calculus anyway. Doesn't usually take, though.

They want to see him operate a modified offense, make plays, not screw up, not get procedural errors, make correct reads....
