I like that quote from Paul Hornug, or whoever, "Lombardi doesn't believe in hamstrings."

He has a chance. Jolly had an ankle early in camp. It took him 3+ weeks if I remember correctly. Sure they could have rushed it, but they let it heal and now he's 100%.

I'd like to see Raji take a week off.

I'd mix up the rotation like this:

Jolly 100% of base, 60% sub (total of 80% snaps)
Pickett 100% base, 0% sub (total of 50% snaps)
Jenkins 100% base, 70% sub (total of 85% snaps)
Jarius Wynn 0% base, 70% sub (total of 35% snaps)

Then I'd bring Raji back in week 2 to take half of Wynn's snaps, then full time in week three. No reason to turn a 3 week injury into a 17 week problem like they did iwith JJ and Bigby.

I'm not sure where you're getting this. Having sprained a lot of ankles in my day, I know that all but the very worst recover in no more than 48 hours of RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation). There are some unusual ankle sprains you can get (the dreaded "high ankle sprain"), but Raji's injury seemed pretty ordinary to me from what I saw.
You've clearly never had a bad ankle sprain. I still can barely push off from the dreaded snowboard incident of February.

I have had multiple ankle sprains from Grade 1 to Grade 3 (actual ligament tear) and in the case of the tear, many years ago before advances in treatment and PEDs were available to the common baseball player, I was in a cast for 6 weeks and fully rehabbed 6 weeks later.

If you are still suffering from an ankle sprain after from February (minimum 20 weeks) then you need to seek qualified medical treatment rather than voodoo.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Most of my ankle sprains occurred in junior high.

Never sprained an ankle or broke a limb. My sporting career was screwed by something I never understood until this day: My shins. Something happened to the meat of my legs that would make the muscles swell and be crushed between the shin bone and whatever other bone is in the lower leg.

I played 3rd division rugby league which is one division off of semi pro, but we still had masseurs.. They had to pop what they called my "ligaments" back into place for me to even take the field. I loved the game, but I couldn't stand for three days after each outing.

I wish I could have had that cured. I would have captained Australia!

Well partial, I doubt you have the medical staff that Raji has working on him. And besides no offense but I'm about %100 positive that Raji is a LITTLE bit tougher than you my friend.

I have a friend who used to play rugby in Toledo, Ohio.

If Raji's ankle sprain was just a mild twist, he wouldn't have been limping around like a gimp so I think it was more than minor. If it was major, I don't think MM would have lied and said it was not serious.

That leads me to believe it was an intermediate ankle sprain. The bad ones take 6-8 weeks. The really minor ones he'd be back in a few days to a week. This one, is in the middle, I'm thinking 2 weeks would be enough (although 3 would probably be ideal like with Jolly). Missing the Bear game would be the right thing to do, then ease him in to week 2 and full go in weeks 3-17.

With Jenkins and Kampman, we have two good pass rushers. We have a scheme that challenges protections schemes. Raji is a huge bonus. I want him here, but I also know we can get it done without him for a week. The real problem is going to come if he keeps aggravating it and then we lose him for many weeks. In that case, it would start to wear on our depth and could easily lead to more injuries, more fatigue and more losses. The right thing to do is to let this thing heal. We can beat the Bears without him and we can really be scary if we get him healthy and have him this year. Do the right thing, that's all I ask.

We used to play 'rugby' in the federal pen. I never lost and I'm telling you that you never ever want to lose that game.

Oh no way! I had a huge mouth, which is why I was captain of both my cricket and rugby teams. Just because I was loud and passionate.

I played hooker, which is the smallest guy on what we call the fowards, as opposed to what we call the backs. I measure about 6'3". And I was the "little guy".

But no way was I tough. I could take a hit and I tackled really really well, but, I wasn't anything compared to what is in your great game. I never got injured for any length. I mean, I could take a shot. But, when I see what goes on in the NFL, man, I was a never was.

But, I tell you, I am sure I could have played LB or TE in HS in the USA. We'll never know, but, I bet those positions would have been it.

And, after having met a few people, I would say I would love to have had Nutz as my QB and Skin as my Scatback.
