So are you predicting that the run defense will be loose at the beginning of the season, then?

No, it was a little loose during the preseason. I think this season when they say something's gonna get fixed, that it will.

The Packers ran quite effectively on 3rd and short last year. Fat lot of good it did. The Packers averaged 113 yards per game last year. 125 would make them 10th in the league in 07. An improvement, but with a defensive improvement, I will go farther.

The Packer's will average MORE than 125 yards per game rushing and will be top 10 in the league in total yards and average per carry.

I agree, I was going to go 150 but that seems a bit heavy as injuries can and will occur.

The balanced offense will be much, much more potent imo. They're going to be the #1 offense in the league imo.

Really depends on how MM calls the game in the second half with a lead. I'd like to see that killer instinct... go for the jugular. If we play offensively with that mentality, we could have the #1 offense in the league. If we falter down the stretch by getting too predictable then there's no chance. There are offenses out there going for it ... NO and NE come to mind.

I'll add on to this. I believe the Packers were one of the better teams in the league in 3rd and short running the ball last year but I'll make a run game prediction.

I think the Packers will be very consistent running the ball this year. For the first time, from Colledge all the way over to Barbre, they have lineman that can really run block. Maybe not dominate, but good and good is better than we've had in a long time. Short yardage, base, 3rd down. . . Running the ball will be a strength for the first time since the Sherman years.

Wow, I'm in complete agreement with Partial. This offense looks balanced and scary to me. Good run game with dominate passing game.

Now is as good of time as any to admit a severe wrong for me last year. Last year I said the Packers would have dominate ST's and they were god awful, 26th in the league in total ST's.

I was as wrong as I could be and that was the big drum I was beating last year. I'm at the point with ST's that I have no clue what makes ST's good or bad, no read on anything. I'll try to find new patterns or signs, but right now I have NO clue.

Bears defense has a few issues and it's at home so I would certainly expect to see a good offensive output...... I do think the Pack wins this one.

Good luck on your season. I can't stand the Vikes, but I know you have a good team. I think it's going to be a battle right to the end.

I hope the worst for the division rivals right now, but if the Packers are out of it and the Vikings are in it, I know you have a hard working team that deserves to win as much as any other team. I don't like Chilly or Favre. I think one is a slippery liar and the other is a selfish prick, but the rest of the Vikings seem like a really good, hard working group.

I think you guys should take the Browns too. A couple weeks from now is going to be an epic battle with hype like no other.
