Beautiful isn't it? Seems like such a simple thing to do ... but getting guys' hips turned around and just making a little cut inside at full speed with that fluidity is hard. Once the DB is turned the wrong way it's over every time ... GJ85!!!

Setting up a defender before making a move is key in every sport. Get him into a position that he can't react quick enough to go with you on your real move. Some athletes do it instinctively, some never get the hang of it.Originally posted by missionBeautiful isn't it? Jennings is a fantastic route runner.
I see it with kids in hockey all the time. Kids who may not even be all that fast or all that quick get around defenders by making the right move at exactly the right time.

It is amazing. I'm not very big, and I wouldn't have lasted playing tackle football at a high level. However, I was quick enough, had the hand-eye coordination, hands, stamina, and the route running ability to pretty much dominant intramurals football. (Well, at least until I got old. I hit the wall at about 33). There would be guys bigger and faster than me, but most could not keep me from catching footballs. I had an ability to set them up with moves, and I had the ability to judge the ball where I was catching the ball in stride as it got to me. I'm not sure if you are born with it or if it's something that comes with playing a lot of sports as a kid (improving hand-eye coordination), but some people just never get good at it.Originally posted by PatlerSetting up a defender before making a move is key in every sport. I wish I was taller. I could have been a baller.

I think their new "Game Day" or "Game Center" or whatever it is called is awful. The rest of the site I agree is getting pretty good.Originally posted by KYPackYeah, thanks for that one, Harv.
That NFL site keeps getting better and better.
