A few years ago (back in the Ahman days) it seemed like GB ran almost too many screens and dumpoffs - especially on 3rd and 18. Those got old in a hurry.
I would like to see screens and dumpoffs brought back to a degree, but I don't think this is the week to do it. Defensively the Vikings generally just try to bring pressure with the front 4. The stat I saw was something like 22% blitz calls and in the bottom half of the league for that statistic - don't remember exactly.
If Slowik replaces Viking DC Leslie Frazier between now and Monday, then definitely run screens. Many, many screens.

Actually what I read from Kevin Seifert on ESPN they are actually pretty high up on the number of blitzes compared to the rest of the NFL.
According to his findings on "added pressure", Vikings are #4 in the NFL in blitz frequency at 45.36% of total plays, Packers are #6 at 44.12%. NFL average is 35.57%.
On the other hand, McGinn put the Vikings blitz percentage at "about 25%". Looks to me like Seifert put more effort into this, so I'll trust Seifert's findings in this case. I haven't watched enough Viking football to say whether they have been bringing much pressure or not.
Anyway - if the Vikings are obviously pinning their ears back, then I say yes, let's try a screen or two.

My only issue with the Viking blitzes is that I wish they'd bring a bit more pressure off the edge....seems to me just eyeballing it they come up the middle a ton.
Its unfortunate the screen game is not a bigger part of the offense. IMO the Pack possess athletic linemen and a coach skilled in screens (EB) to make it happen.
