Would trade for Merriman in a second. I'd offer a two right now... Maybe even a #1. He's hurt so he won't be super effective this year, but he is a rare pass rushing talent. Matthews and Merriman on the edges would look really nice going forward!!!

I'd give them a 4 and their choice of Deshawn Wynn, Bigby, or Poppinga.

I'd also stipulate that a provision be added to his contract demanding the lights out dance (or any other roid rage dance) is not allowed under any circumstances.

The guy is now "injury prone," playing poorly, hangs out with the wrong people, eats the wrong roids, and dances like a fucktard. Offering a 1 or 2 would be silly, especially with no contract in place after this season. You trade a high pick for a LB who is going to make plays, not one who used to.

Right now I would give up kamp and a 1st and 3rd for Joe Thomas. And cleveland still wouldn't do it. Kamp walks after this year anyway, or we trade him for a second....effectively a 1,2,3 for Joe Thomas would be a steal. Marquis LT's don't come along often.

Merriman isn't worth a 4th right now. He had a knee injury last year and we are seeing how well Barnett is doing for us. Why do we need another?

The only upside in trading for Merriman might be next year when he is a 1+ year after the injury.

Just what we want: a Marquis dominant LT or DLT or LT,D. So which is it? the Marquis or the LTD?

I completely disagree with some of you guys. Not worth a 4th rounder? He's coming off an injury so of course he's going to be slow for a year, just like Barnett and Brady. This guy might be the best pass rusher in the league. Rare talent.
