Jerry Jones turned down 'significant offer' before the trade deadline
Tim MacMahon of ESPNDallas.com reports Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones made it clear Wednesday that he turned down a "significant offer" before Tuesday's trade deadline.

The details of the proposed deal are muddy, and Jones hopes to keep it that way.

"We had a significant offer for a key player that we turned down, and turned down in getting in more extended dialogue for," Jones said. "So we did have that kind of activity ... but I shouldn't name the player or the team. It was a very firm, significant offer for one of our young players that we had a chance for a lot of consideration if we had wanted to take it, and we didn't."

Any chance it was TT trying to get Tashard Choice for a pick??

Really? This deserved a thread for some sort of blind speculation on your part? Really? What reason is there to think this at all? You're grasping at straws big time.

Jerrah just wants everyone to know the team is still talented and he is being patient. Don't bother looking at the coach or the post-season record.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Dallas is deep at running back, but Jones said the offer didn't come at that position.
The quiet trading deadline could have been a little noisier if Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had wanted.

I'll bet it was the Queens trying to trade Adrian Peterson for:

                LB Keith Brooking
                LB Bobby Carpenter
                CB Orlando Scandrick

Not yet. Wait until Peterson's played another five years, then make the trade.

Then they will have avenged the Walker trade.

You guys are lost. Snake got his latest scoop from Joe Arrigo:

Jerry Jones was prepared to offer Terrell Owens up for a box of shower soap and urinal cakes till he was reminded that TO was no longer part of the Cowboys. That senile bastard plays checkers with Al Davis and thinks it's hip to dance with Urkel. Quit picking on old people. Christ.

Snake's Twitter comments would be LEGENDARY.........if I was ugly or gave a shit about Twitter.
