  • OFFICIAL Packers vs. Browns Game Thread

Time to turn the Browns black & blue.

My only concern in this game is the Packers look ahead to the epic Showdown in Lambeau next week and have their guard down. As bad as they are, Browns took the Bengals to OT so have to show up. Games aren't won on paper.

Handle business against the Brownies and then we'll deal with the purple invaders from the West next week.

    Poll from Browns team website:

What's your prediction for Sunday's game?

Home is sweet -- Browns roll to big win 11.78%
Browns pull out a victory in the closing seconds 21.52%
Close again, but no win: Pack in a thriller 16.76%
Rodgers gets hot, Green Bay wins big 49.94%

    Total number of votes: 4934

Alex, I'll take Rodgers gets hot, Green Bay wins big for $200 please.

    Let's roll.

Man fuck that Pack win BIG and blow these mofo's out! Rodgers throws 5 TD's and our receivers drop zero passes. Only 1 sack is given up and we improve all around.

Well unless Cribbs busts a couple and Green Bay has critical big play turnovers I can't see the Browns winning this one.

In other NFL games, I like Pittsburg against Minnesota although I'm certainly not writing off the game. This is a bigger game for the Steelers and being an out of conference game this isn;t as important to Minnesota as the critical clash next week.

I like Bengals versus Chicago since the Bengals are at home. That game could go either way.

If I had known even you weren't so sure, I'd have put more points on Pitt.

Kind of a sloppy field, road game against a good team that needs a win. A week before a critical divisional game...it all adds up toa tough game to win I think. Plus the Vikings came out of the Ravens win pretty beat up.

The Packers didn't look ahead versus the Rams before the first game. Don't think its likely they will today.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

MN is built for playing on a fast track so I'm thinking the Steelers will win. Plus they are in PA. It isn't easy to win on the road against good teams. We found that out a few weeks ago in Minneapolis. As long as we don't turn the ball over and screw up too much we'll win. Frankly, I don't care what the score is as long as we get a 'W' and get out of Ohio in one piece (and nobody gets sick!).

The Packers do not seem to be playing like a team that can afford to look ahead. They need to start getting better. I am looking forward to a game in which this team begins to find its identity. They need to identify some plays that are go-to plays, the offensive line needs to stop taking stupid pills, and the defense needs to be sharp. And special teams - we don't have Mike Stock to kick around any more, so how's about a good performance there?

I hope you're right but unfortunately I think the Bears win. Odom out is a huge loss for Cincy. He would have given Pace major trouble.

Rastak, just for my own sanity and well being, I need the Vikes to lose. I work with way too many fair weather Vikes fans. But even worse yet is the Hawkeye fan.

I also don't know why I pointed this at you lol.

And Pitt gets Troy back... I forgot about that. I think the line is a little high and hope Minny loses one of these close games (miracle TD, wide left = 2 losses). It'd make next week more interesting.

                              My wishlist:

Rodgers gets sacked less than 3 times
Packers have less than 10 penalties
Packers continue to win turnover battle (+2)
Browns score 14 or less; Pack scores 24 or more
