    Injury update: Sprained knees for Finley, Swain

    Tight end Jermichael Finley and receiver Brett Swain each sprained a knee in Sunday's win, coach Mike McCarthy said.

    Swain said he'll have an MRI on Monday. Finley wasn't seen in the locker room after the game.

    Linebacker Brandon Chillar hit his elbow while covering a late punt. Receiver Greg Jennings got dirt in his eye late in the game. Both said they're fine.

    Keep fingers crossed. Preliminary diagnosis is typically sprain/strain until imaging results known. Can't diagnosis meniscus tear on physical exam.

          What do we do if both Nelson and Swain are unavailable next week?
          One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

            Swede: My expertise in this area is extensive. The essential difference between a "battleship" and an "aircraft carrier" is that an aircraft carrier requires five direct hits to sink, but it takes only four direct hits to sink a battleship.

                  Unless someone is out for the year, who do we cut to make the roster spot?

                  I think we'll just go with 3 WRs. It sucks but I don't think we have a better option at this point, especially since Nelson should be back soon.

                      Seems like that is playing into the Vike's strength.
