Surprised how many picked Lang over Clifton. Lang has looked pretty good but the Lions and Browns dont have squat on the Vikings D-line. That being said if Clifton's ankle is still bothering him I would go with Lang.

YOu conveniantly leave out the second game. I don't seem to recall, did Allen make any impact in that game?

Lang is competitive and young. Cliffy once he is beat looks like BF looked chasing down that interception today. "oh well, I got beat"

When Lang has been beat he keeps scrapping so Arod can step past a guy and not worry that he is still coming. Night and day at this point. As I've said many times, I LOVED cliffy over his career. At this point its time for the youngster to play.
I don't remember anything about the second game. I guess we'll see Sunday who was right and who was wrong.

IMO, Lang is better at run blocking than Clifton at this point. We need to be able to run to beat the Vikes. Go with Lang...and print off every article and forum posting telling Lang that he is going to get owned next week in his locker this week.

Nah, then he might get the impression that so many think it, maybe they're right. Just wait for Allen to say something stupid and print the one comment.

I voted Lang because he's earned it and Cliffy hasn't practiced. I want M3 to run the ball like he did against the Browns, obviously not with the same success, but it makes the whole offense better. If Lang falls on his face then he can put Cliffy in.
            Thanks Ted!

I haven't voted but I think the Packers need to go with Lang. Clifton has yet to prove that he can handle Jared Allen. I believe the first game of last year against the Vikings was Clifton's only solid game against Allen.

Either way it is like deciding to go all in with Jack/three offsuit, or a 2/8 off suit.

Quite true. Lang run blocks better and has demonstrated it in all three games he has been in.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Lang. Only way to get better is to keep playing.

I view Clifton and Tauscher as mentors to the new Tackles now and that's about it. Both of these guys were very good in their prime and can teach the youngsters a lot and speed up their maturity.

Clifton also owned him in 2007 in the game at Kansas City. Kept him off the scoresheet. Allen acted like a complete ass after the game by not giving Clifton any credit.

No wonder he fits in so well in MN...

I hope they run it with the same success if not more.

Finley and Lang on that side and the first 15 plays run right at him...smash mouth football against him the whole game. Make sure JA (hehe Jack A**) can't just pin his ears back and go after AR.

I'll take a double shot of Lang with a wedge of Quinn Johnson, and a Clifton back, just in case the shot makes me puke in my mouth.
