The OL was genius in the second half compared to the first.

Better does not necessarily mean they weren't awful. Rodgers was brutalized in taht second half. He played like a man.

I didn't say they were good. I was merely illustrating the first half OL for you since you missed it.

I didn't see the first half but the OL was awful in the second half. ARod was making plays all over the field. I think this was his most impressive pro game by far (the second half atleast, I heard the first half was terrible).

He found a way to escape the blitz and take advantage of the light coverage.
Agreed. But still holds the ball too long which Arod acknowledged this week. Its going to be interesting how many sacks are due to AR.

On the play where DD went down for a few and Arod got smacked by 2 defenders (and the PF call), when he landed you could see hit foot hit the crowd square on his toe...

If it's the knee, no speculation - but if it's his foot - that may have been the play.

Can someone please explain to me the offensive philosophy of letting the best pass rusher in the league go unblocked on a passing down?

                Thanks in advance.

Back when he first started at QB for the Packers and children were swearing at him, I'll bet he'd have loved to have kicked a lot of the crowd square with his toe.
I think you mean the ground?
Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another.

Philbin said the "group" blew a blitz pickup call. Either Lang heard wrong and blocked down or the TE didn't hear it at all.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

It wouldn't matter how long he fucking holds onto the ball if the defense could stop the other team from scoring 40 points. The criticism of Rodgers is just, but the flip side of it is the guy has thrown 2 interceptions all season. There's a trade off there and a lot of teams would murder a virgin for a young QB who's only tangible fault is taking an extra 2-3 sacks a game because he holds onto the ball too long.

Your point about the defense is valid, but you have to acknowledge the dramatic failure of the offense in the first half. 3 first downs and 47 yards (not to mention special teams lapses) not only leaves your defense exposed and in a bad position, but also is demoralizing.

I think it was all that crowd noise. That's what makes those road games so difficult. Oh, that's right, it was a home game.

Haha - totally. I was thinking of crown, then ground and came up with crowd.

Here's hoping ARs ok. I was one that questioned durability and no longer am in that camp.

That's true. Guess my point is this team's got much larger issues than Rodgers taking an extra 2-3 sacks a game because he doesn't throw the ball away or try to run and get punished some more.

This is exactly what I've been afraid of all fall, Aaron getting hurt,

hurt enough to miss a couple or a few games. Where will you go

for a replacement, Ted ?? Rely on Brian Brohm ? Or maybe

Detroit has a couple cast-offs they don't need.
Is it really a halo or
                                just a swelled head ?
