yes, m3 pretty much said either him or someone else will have a talk with jolly.

and the fact that m3 didn't explode all over jolly on the sideline after the play showed me all i needed to know

i lost the last little bit of respect for m3 right there. this was proof as o why this team has no discipline

it tt needs to have the youngest team in the league every year then m3 is not the right coach

Further evidence from MM's Nov. 4th presser. Read his answer closely:

(You talked Monday about why it would have been hard to take Jolly out of the game with the penalty, but are you at a point where the coaches have done what they can do and now it is on the players?)
You definitely have to have lines in your structure. Whether it's penalties, turnovers, mental errors, there's no question about it. Where that line stands and where individuals are close to that line, that's ultimately the responsibility of the coaches and at the end of the day the head coach. When that line is crossed, then consequences occur. Trust me, Johnny Jolly has been spoken to. A number of individuals were spoken to Monday. The message and the topics we needed to discuss as a team on Monday were discussed directly, loud and clear. We need to learn from this experience. Yeah, our penalties are too high, and particularly that type of penalty. There's no excuse for it. For it to happen that late, after the play, four points and all that. It definitely factored in the game. I'm confident that our football team will learn from Johnny's mistake.
MM says: "...Jolly has been spoken to" and "...individuals were spoken to..." I infer from this that someone other than MM was doing the speaking.

On the other hand, MM says: "The message and the topics we needed to discuss as a team on Monday were discussed directly, loud and clear." I infer from this that during the team meeting MM did the speaking.

I've followed MM's career and pressers quite closely over the years. He is very respectful of his assistants and their areas of authority. He rarely if ever steps over that boundary. When areas of the team are failing, he'll speak to the specific coaches. He'll rarely criticize them publically. He'll hardly ever pull individual players aside and ream them another one, especially in public.

Look how he publically supported DC Sanders until the very end of the season. Then, after the season, Sanders was gone and his system totally abandoned.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

Boneheaded move by Jolly. It's a game of poise and he as zero. He cost his team points and if he was any kind of man, he would at the very least apologize to the team. Playing the tough guy is only going to make things worse, AND YES YOU IDIOT YOUR PLAY WAS PART OF THE REASON WE LOST.

So take your "is what it is" attitude and stick it up your ass. The fans deserve better than you.

Coaching is a stretch. MM is like having a prostitute babysit.

Can we just change the title of this thread to "Jolly not smart"?
