We got through the 2 BIG games. Let's hope we don't have a letdown performance on Thanksgiving. I do not see the Packers coming out flat, but we'll see.

Sometimes it is difficult to know which team to cheer for.

I want Dallas to lose some games because the Packers have the most improtant tiebreaker with them. Yet the Eagles and Giants are most likely to beat them and I don't want them to win.

It is as if the Packers have a new division with the Eagles, Giants, and Falcons.

It is possible the Packers could play at Arizona 2 weeks in row.

I'm in touch with Mora also. I'm usually a homer, but I dont think this team is coached well enough to go any where. I know every one likes to play GM and bash ours, but we have the horses to compete at a high level. This is not a very inspired team I am seeing out there. Some individual inspired performances for sure. Because we have some professionals and guys that have something to prove. But overall Mike Mornhinweg is wearing out his welcome in Green Bay.

He's been doing it all year. I don't see any reason why he would back out now that we are in the last stretch of the season.

Love this thread. It's nice to come to it when we are actually in contention. I had to explain to another Packer fan last night why in the hell I was cheering for the Bears(disgusting). I can't see anyway the Packers let up against the Lions this week. We have a mini bye-week afterward in which to prepare for Baltimore @ home. The Lions have to be emotionally and physically drained after their battle with the Browns. A lot of things set up nicely for us coming in to Detroit on a short week.

Man, it was hell trying to root for the Bears. I couldn't really do it.

Let's look at it a bit differently.

Cowboys (won v. Falcons, lost to Packers) 6-2 in Conference, SOV .357
Eagles (beat the Cowboys and the Giants) 5-2 in Conference, SOV .350
Packers (won against the Cowboys) 5-3 in Conference, SOV .317
Giants (won against Falcons and Cowboys) 4-3 in Conference, SOV .367
Falcons (lost to Giants and Cowboys) 4-4 in Conference, SOV .400

SOV is Strength of Victory, the tiebreaker after Conference Record.

The Packers don't want the Cowboys to win the East, but just have to keep winning and let others decide their fate.

The Falcons do not want the Eagles to win the East and lose tiebreakers to Giants and Cowboys. They also play the Eagles in Atlanta in 2 weeks. They have 2 easy Conference games against the Bucanneers.

After Thanksgiving in Denver, the Giants play the Cowboys and then Eagles at home. They control much of their destiny.

The Eagles still have games against Atlanta, the Giants and Cowboys, all away. They control much of their destiny.

The Cowboys have games at the Giants, Chargers at home, at New Orleans, at Redskins, and finish against the Eagles at home. Tough games.

It is still quite a race. Each win a great help, each loss a big disappointment. There is a lot of scoreboard watching to go.

The Packers cannot afford anymore losses in conference. The Eagles have a game in hand, but Dallas is a full game ahead.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

So basically we should be rooting for the Cowboys to lose the division.. and for the giants, falcons, and eagles to lose unless they are playing against the cowboys right ?
