If we had kept McKenzie we would have never gotten Al Harris.
We traded for Harris the year before we traded McKenzie..
They both played the whole 2003 season for Green Bay..
I don't miss him really, I would have signed him this season to play nickel..But Woodson is much, much, much better so trading him worked out pretty well for us.
Ironically, he just picked off a pass not 5 minutes ago..
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER
McKenzie wanted out or a ransom paid. I don't remember if the ransom was reasonable or just meant to force a trade. Its hard to miss someone who doesn't want to play for the team. He was better than what came next until Charles Woodson. Grabby McSmurf just couldn't measure up.
Harris and McKenzie were Milli and Vanilli for a while in the national press.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
Yes, we traded for Harris and later MMckenzie wanted a new deal. One had nothing to do with the other....however if he had kept MAC we might not have WOODSON....put that in your pipe and smoke it.
