my guess was also the nfl films guyOriginally posted by digitaldeanBill Woodson (came from a highlight film from the game)
People assumed it was John Facenda, (the voice of NFL Films) since he did so many narrations of NFL games for NFL Films.

I would bet my last dollar that it is NOT Chris Berman who coined the phrase.....I would go with digitaldean's Bill Woodson.Originally posted by Brando19Haha..I posted the trivia question and I guess I was wrong....damn nationalfootballpost.com!!!!Originally posted by PartialThat's who I guessed too.Originally posted by Brando19Well....according to this link...the answer is Chris Berman!

I think this is another case of bad writing, that, and a young writer thinking history begins at his birth.
After lunch the players lounged about the hotel patio watching the surf fling white plumes high against the darkening sky. Clouds were piling up in the west… Vince Lombardi frowned.

I agree. I used to love Primetime, now it is just a bunch of ex-jocks talking too much and overlaughing at jokes that aren't funny. Berman's schtick is old too.Originally posted by PartialChris Berman. I used to love NFL Primetime. Was awesome.Originally posted by BretskyOriginally posted by Brando19Well....according to this link...the answer is Chris Berman!

Good stuff; just read the question and that was immediately who I thought of. He's the only guy I recall calling that on Primetime all the time.
