Good stuff; just read the question and that was immediately who I thought of. He's the only guy I recall calling that on Primetime all the time.

    I miss that highlight show
Chris Berman. I used to love NFL Primetime. Was awesome.

Lawrence Pfohl spent the entire 1982 season on injured reserve due to a groin injury he suffered during Packer training camp.

Who is he better known as?
Lex Lugar was Pfohl's handle in the wrestling business.

He's a left guard on the God Squad now.

I thought Lex Lugar played for the Falcons?

People assumed it was John Facenda, (the voice of NFL Films) since he did so many narrations of NFL games for NFL Films.
my guess was also the nfl films guy

              That's who I guessed too.
              Haha..I posted the trivia question and I guess I was wrong....damn nationalfootballpost.com!!!!
I would bet my last dollar that it is NOT Chris Berman who coined the phrase.....I would go with digitaldean's Bill Woodson.

I think this is another case of bad writing, that, and a young writer thinking history begins at his birth.

After lunch the players lounged about the hotel patio watching the surf fling white plumes high against the darkening sky. Clouds were piling up in the west… Vince Lombardi frowned.

I agree. I used to love Primetime, now it is just a bunch of ex-jocks talking too much and overlaughing at jokes that aren't funny. Berman's schtick is old too.

me too; ESPN is subpar now.

I'm all about the NFL Network pre game; they do some great footballl analysis

TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER
