Packers' B.J. Raji: Bears' Olin Kreutz not strong enough to contain him

Olin Kreutz's six Pro Bowl appearances apparently haven't impressed Packers rookie DL B.J. Raji.

The ninth overall pick told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that he expects to handle the veteran Bears center when the teams match up on Sunday.

"It's nothing physical, it's all technical," Raji told the paper. "I'm stronger than the guy. I mean, that's not really talking (smack); he's just fast. That's not his game, really, strength. He's more trying to out-leverage you, get around you. Once I get the feel of that then the game will come a lot easier.

Raji is 6-2, 337 pounds. Kreutz is 6-2, 292 pounds. Raji has not played nose tackle much this season, but may need to fill in for the injured Ryan Pickett opposite Kreutz this weekend.

"It's not going to take me a whole (game) to get used to him moving," he told the paper. "Football's football. He's not going to change the way he plays because there's a new nose on him. He's going to play the way he's been playing. So what I watch on film, it's probably going to help me out the most, really."

          Anyone going to this game?
          I'm going!!!

Really excited about going too. Great seats....row 3 in the endzone! I've never been to an away Packer game.

Was at a game at Soldier Field many years ago but the Packers weren't playing. Only went because it was free and we had Club House seating. lol
I've been to games at Lambeau, the Metrodome, and Ford Field, now I just need to eventually go to a Bears/Packers game at Soldier Field.

My BIL who is from Chicago told me once if I ever went to a Packer/bare game at Soldier Field to leave my Packer gear in the car. He said the greeting I would get would not be very charitable.

Way back when, before the last time they were any good, 2001 with Eric Kramer, they were winning with lucky ass plays the year they tore down Soldier Field to build the bedpan.

Anyways that year they had a regular season game against the Cleveland Browns, the following Monday morning I had an appointment with an oral surgeon, I'm sitting in the waiting room waiting to go in. A guy comes in on crutch's and a face just tore to shit, he was at the Bears vs Browns game the day before (had to look it up - http://www.pro-football-reference.co...0111040chi.htm Bears win in OT on Mike Brown interception return.

The guy tells the story that they were walking back to their car after the game one of the guys in their group were wearing Brown's gear; they passed a group of Bears fans tailgating, after they walked buy the Bears fans about 10-20 yards they chuck a beer bottle at them. When they went back to call them out and say WTF, they proceeded to get the shit kicked out of them.

I live down here and there's stories in the Trib and Suntime's on how you can't bring kids to a game without exposing them to some douche baggery.

This whole week has been a joke...

I turn on AM radio, they're picking the Bears in an upset; I turn on ESPN, same thing.

Everywhere I read online, it''s a rivalry, it's in Chicago, "not so fast" blah blah.

                    It's not. gonna. happen.

                    Put it on the board.

The Packers' defense will just not allow it.

                    24-10.

                    Good guys.

                    Enough with the nonsense.

                    Not gonna happen.

Have to laugh at the Raji/Kreutz thing. Isn't Kreutz the guy with the vicious temper, who punched and broke a D lineman's (teammate) jaw?

I just hope the Packers don't come into the game assuming they've already won it. They need to come in like THIS is the only game that matters and the season is shot if they don't win. They need to put them away early and not let off the accelerator in the second half.

D-Line is gonna be short on bodies due to injuries today. Hope it won't be too detrimental to us

I am hoping they're going to activate Toribio or Talley from the practice squad. There is still a spot available, right?

We don't need to run Raji into the ground, and god forbid if anyone else gets hurt we could use another big body.

I just checked nfl.com and the Pack has not names its inactives yet.

I'll be curious to see about Pickett and Jolly.
