I sure felt more comfortable there when the Bears had the ball, knowing that we were 7 points ahead instead of 6.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh. John Maxymuk, Packers By The Numbers
Rodgers now has a winning record as a starting QB (15-14)! Next steps for sainthood in Packerland: clinch a playoff spot, win a playoff game, win a championship!!
The difference between this year's D and last year's D is night and day. When we are up late protecting a lead I expect them to hold on to it, not piss it away in a minute like last year.
Keys:
- Match Bears intensity - they seem to get more geared up for this game than the Pack - Both teams seemed flat - Pack had a little more juice in 1st half
- Oline has to play solid again (<3 sacks), extra protection and schemes (screens, rollouts, drop off) to attack blitz holes - only let up 2 sacks, did well with Havner as extra protection - a few rollouts and drop off passes; not many screens
- Rattle Cuntler (3+ sacks, 2+ INTs) - Yes - 3 sacks and 2 picks (and about 4 near picks)
- Limit turnovers and penalties (2 or less; 8 or less) - Yes - 2 lost fumbles (one going into the half); only 4 penalties
- Provide over the top protection for TWill - didn't seem to need it but Collins did seem to blanket him
- Keep Forte to under 20 carries and 65 yards; Get Grant 20+, 100 yards and a TD; Forte - 12 for 51yds; Grant - 20 for 137 and 2 TDs; Double Yes
- ST will be important - Mason needs to hit his FGs and the kickoff/punt coverage needs to take their collective head out of their ass - Good coverage today - probably their best. Mason missed a key 42 yarder...
Intensity will determine the outcome. If Pack comes out, settles down the Bears and gets a quick start, it could be a big win. If we are flat or aren't matching intensity, it'll be a long day.
Damn - my keys were pretty money if I do say so myself.
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.

i think thats why i don't know if we're a good team or not
we have the best d, we have a potent o. and we're winning
but winning ugly. the ugly makes it look like the wheels could come off at anytime
Look at it from another angle.
We're winning starting 3 rookies on defense.

TD A.Peterson 3 yd. run Drive: 11 plays, 67 yards in 6:15
His 14th TD of the season ( A Viking single season record ) and second of todays game Vs a really tough Cincy defense. A. Peterson 97 yards rushing and 130 yards total.
A totally different Viking team than we saw last Sunday night in Arizona. This was a solid 'TEAM' win Vs a tough team in the Bengals. The hitting in this game was just wicked. You can telll it's getting close to the playoffs.
WB, we know you are giddy about the Vikings but this doesn't belong here
Ohh. Who's we? You and the wife and kiddies? Is all you see Green and Gold? Your not aware of what's going on around your team? Not much makes me ' giddy ' Packer fan. I'm an NFL fan not just a Packer fan.
So PLEASE Bossman641 I live in a free society. I'll post what I want to as long as it's reasonable and polite.

Right you are. Last year in Lambeau against, Carolina there was a sick feeling of inevitability as our defense gave up the long pass to Steve Smith.
Way to clamp down D!

Like someone said above look at the Saints last two games against the Skins and Falcons with Ryan and Turner. You are going to have ugly games from time to time, good teams find ways to win those games which we did. Rivarly game on the road is never a easy game.
