  • Question

Does anyone else think that Tommie Harris was going after Rodgers knee on that 2 point conversion?
"I would love to have a guy that always gets the key hit, a pitcher that always makes his best pitch and a manager that can always make the right decision. The problem is getting him to put down his beer and come out of the stands and do those things." - Danny Murraugh

I'm not sure about that, but what's the rule on that play? I thought hitting the QB in the knee was a penalty in today's NFL.

I did too. I thought that it was a penalty even when you were being blocked into the QB. Well--if Rodgers was Brady it would have been a flag.

+1 There have been a couple of incidents this season where there would have been flags flying if it was Brady or Manning in there instead of AR.

The rules only apply if your last name is Brady or Manning.

yup, thats the brady rule, only gets called on him

you have to tackle him in a 1 foot area around the waist, thats it

i didn't see the play on rodgers, so i have no clue about it

Interesting. Rodgers credits Harris for not injuring him, and NFL fines him anyway:

This incident only goes to show how are entire season is balanced on a knife's edge.

In short, one hit and we go as far as Matt Flynn can take us.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

it looked ugly when it happened. the next thing i saw was rodgers sitting on the bench looking at pictures. whew! that was close. the players might be able to overcome mm but not the loss of rodgers.

I've always said the difference between a Warren Sapp and a guy like Harris is how they react afterwards. Sapp acted like a jackass, Harris asked Rodgers if he was ok. Nuff said.
