Do you think that people are arguing to remove divisions? Thats not the case. They are simply saying that the seeds in the playoffs should be entirely based on overall record.
I find it hard to believe that you don't see anything wrong if an 11-5 wildcard team having to go play on the road in the playoffs against an 8-8 division winner.

To answer your question, I think if a team beats out 3 other teams vying for the same title (division champ) they are entitled to host a playoff game. If the wild card teams are so supposedly superior to these division teams, it shouldn't matter that the wild card team has to go on the road, right?

Division games are largely the rivalry games. There is no reason to reduce their importance to the two cities alone. If you can't win the division, then you don't get the perks. Wild Cards have been doing just fine in the new format. In fact, they have been more successful under the new format than ever before and do not need additional help.

its a big advantage playing at home, not to mention the millions of dollars of revenue a home game brings in

there's a chance that we will play the cardinals in the playoffs, there's also a chance we'll have the better record when that happens

but we would have to play in arizona all because they were the best out of the worst division in the nfl.

that just doesn't seem right to me

and a game in arizona vs a game in green bay in january, there's a giant difference there

I have thought this about the playoff system for years, it just so happens that the Packers could be on the short end this year.

Love the boxscore though, looks like a solid win. I especially like the INT numbers, shows the secondary showed up pissed off after having that loss last week hung on them.

Going to watch the recorded game and read everyone's commentary now. It tends to be much more insightful than anything the announcers have to say. Primarily because the announcers never say "what the fuck was he thinking there???"

Seattle was horrible to watch; Packers were in a different league all together and that says a lot 'cos Packers didn't even go full throttle (not needed).
