Wow, Manning had a heated exchange on the sideline just now because he got pulled. Stop the presses. Let's hope this story has legs.

Or he might not have been stupid enough to pull his starting QB in the first place and then have a visible shouting match about it that he ultimately loses.Originally posted by RastakFortunately the coach accurately understood the situation so he did not. Had it been a 7-6 game with nothing clinched I am guessing the decision would have been the reverse."Greatness is not an act... but a habit.Greatness is not an act... but a habit." -Greg Jennings

Did he? I didn't see the game, but his post-game comments were very unFavre-like:
"We are followers of our head coach and the organization, people who give us direction,'' Manning said. "That's what our job is, to take instructions and follow those instructions. ...
"There was no head coach-quarterback argument of any sort.''

Colts lose in their first game in the playoffs. Guarenteed.
It's proven year in and year out (save the cardinals last season) - when you have things wrapped up and you start playing to stay healthy, you exit very quickly from the playoffs. Players know it, and so do the analyts. Everytime teams do this they are hurting themselves for the playoffs, not helping.
You can't expect a team to magically turn it on after 2 or 3 week vacation.
